Kyrsten Sinema complained to White House aides about being forced to wear a mask in front of President Joe Biden, according to a new book by two New York Times reporters.<\/p>\n<p>The moderate Sinema was one of eight Democrats to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/15\/senate-votes-repeal-cdc-mask-mandate-public-transportation-rand-paul-resolution\/\">vote<\/a> on Tuesday to overturn the Center for Disease Control and Prevention\u2019s mask mandate for airplanes and public transportation. In addition to her public stance, she has privately become angry about masking rules, Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns write in their new book \u201cThis Will Not Pass.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sinema \u201cbecame the first-ever lawmaker to argue with White House aides when they asked her to wear a face mask in the company of the president, repeatedly asking why that was necessary when she had been vaccinated,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/15\/senate-votes-repeal-cdc-mask-mandate-public-transportation-rand-paul-resolution\/\">according<\/a> to an excerpt of the book published by Axios.<\/p>\n<p>Biden has publicly <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/27\/joe-biden-booster-shot-on-camera-white-house-cdc-fda-pfizer\/\">received<\/a> three COVID-19 vaccinations, in keeping with CDC recommendations for older and at-risk individuals.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her mask complaints, Sinema\u2019s comments on taxation and limited government made her sound like Republican Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, White House aides reportedly complained. Sinema and Romney, who are close friends, have teamed up on several <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/14\/mitt-romney-kyrsten-sinema-bipartisan-minimum-wage-bill\/\">pieces<\/a> of legislation, most <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/11\/democrats-oppose-bipartisanship-infrastructure-heinrich-tester-ocasio-cortez\/\">notably<\/a> the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/08\/03\/senate-bipartisan-infrastructure-deal-502267\">Act<\/a>.
