The 2015 satirical comedy series stars Volodymyr Zelenskyy playing a teacher who unexpectedly becomes President after a video of him complaining about corruption suddenly goes viral,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">You asked and it\u2019s back!<\/p>\n<p>Servant of the People is once again available on Netflix in The US. The 2015 satirical comedy series stars Volodymyr Zelenskyy playing a teacher who unexpectedly becomes President after a video of him complaining about corruption suddenly goes viral. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Pp9f48jutF\">pic.twitter.com\/Pp9f48jutF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Netflix (@netflix) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/netflix\/status\/1504064948305080327?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 16, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Netflix had previously included the series from 2017 to 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The show ran for three seasons before Zelensky announced his run for president of Ukraine in 2019, using the name Servant of the People as the name of his political party.<\/p>\n<p>The former actor, who is also known as the voice of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/zelenskys-odyssey-from-the-voice-of-paddington-bear-to-confronting-the-russian-bear\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paddington Bear<\/a> in the Ukrainian version of the film, has become well-known for his strong response to Russia\u2019s invasion of his country.<\/p>\n<p>His renewed global popularity has led Eccho Rights, the group responsible for the licensing of \u201cServant of the People,\u201d to launch new agreements to bring his past program back online.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe series is a comedy but also an important document of where Zelensky comes from,\u201d Eccho Rights managing partner Nicola S\u00f6derlund in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/netflix-servant-of-the-people-ukraine-zelensky-1235112594\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>, according to The Hollywood Reporter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis fictional president is a normal man, who grows into his role as a heroic and adored leader. While the real-world scenario facing Zelensky and the Ukrainian people is far more grim and appalling than the comedy of the series, there are obvious parallels with the real-world situation, and <em>Servant of the People<\/em> is a fascinating, important and historic piece of television,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The show was also recently released in the U.K on Channel 4.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, Eccho Rights has removed Russian content from its platform and has <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2022\/03\/ukraine-president-volodymyr-zelensky-series-servant-of-the-people-sells-to-uks-channel-4-and-others-1234968826\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">donated<\/a> $55,500 to the Ukrainian Red Cross.<\/p>\n<p>Zelensky was scheduled to address lawmakers from the House and Senate in a virtual address on Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) announced in a letter on Monday. The Daily Wire previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/ukrainian-president-zelensky-to-address-congress\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"\"><em>\u201cAs war rages on in Ukraine, it is with great respect and admiration for the Ukrainian people that we invite all Members of the House and Senate to attend a Virtual Address to the United States Congress delivered by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine on Wednesday, March 16th at 9:00 a.m,\u201d Pelosi and Schumer said in the Monday\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/house\/598081-zelensky-to-make-virtual-address-us-congress\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">letter<\/a>\u00a0to lawmakers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><em>The virtual address will take be held in an auditorium inside the Capitol Visitor Center on Capitol Hill, according to the letter. Congressional members will be the only people allowed to attend in person.
