Harris dropped out of the event after learning her husband tested positive for the virus.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>(The first lady\u2019s husband is actually Biden himself)<\/p>\n<p>After Biden\u2019s blunder, first lady Jill Biden interrupted the president to point out his mistake.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPardon?\u201d Biden replied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou said the first \u2014 anyways,\u201d his wife began before giving up as the crowd started laughing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s right. She\u2019s fine. It\u2019s me that\u2019s not together,\u201d Biden continued as the crowd laughed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Second La- \u2014 the First Gentleman,\u201d he said finally as the crowd laughed again. \u201cHow about that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden reminded the crowd of the number of women he appointed in his administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne person I\u2019m particularly proud of is \u2014 was going to be introducing me \u2014 is Kamala Harris,\u201d he said, noting again that her husband had coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s fine, but out of an abundance of caution, she decided she wasn\u2019t going to join us today,\u201d Biden said. \u201cBut let\u2019s send her our love because she\u2019s something else.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First lady Jill Biden corrected her husband, President Joe Biden, on Tuesday after he mistakenly referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as the first lady.
