The cheapest Tesla vehicle, the Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive, now has a starting price point of $46,990. The company\u2019s top-end Model X Tri motor has increased in price by $12,500, from $126,490 to $138,990.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<div id=\"attachment_18021450\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2021\/09\/Elon-Musk-watches-SpaceX-launch.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Elon Musk (Joe Raedle \/Getty)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Last Wednesday, Tesla increased the cost of a number of its long-range model, but the recent price raises are more substantial and apply to the company\u2019s entire vehicle lineup. Many of the materials used to manufacture electric vehicles such as steel, nickel, and palladium, have increased in price.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Tesla &#038; SpaceX are seeing significant recent inflation pressure in raw materials &#038; logistics<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Elon Musk (@elonmusk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1503184467397128194?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 14, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Recently, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg suggested that Americans struggling with high gas prices switch to electric vehicles to save money. Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/07\/pete-buttigieg-promotes-electric-cars-public-transportation-as-solution-to-high-gas-prices\/\">reported<\/a> on Buttigieg\u2019s comments, in which he stated\u00a0\u201cClean transportation can bring significant cost savings for the American people as well.\u00a0So the people from rural, to suburban, to urban communities can all benefit from the gas savings of driving an EV.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He went on to add: \u201cIn our economy, transportation is the single biggest contributor to climate change.\u201d Many were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/08\/americans-roast-pete-buttigieg-for-promoting-electric-vehicles-amid-skyrocketing-gas-prices\/\">quick to take issue with Buttigieg\u2019s suggestion<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cHow many people have a spare $56,000 for an electric car? What about the charging costs? This is not a realistic solution,\u201d Rep.
