With all his courage and determination, he traveled to the most dangerous war zones to film the unprecedented ruthlessness and evil, also inflicted upon our nation by the aggressor state,\u201d Zelensky wrote. \u201cThe people of Ukraine, who are fighting against the Russian regime to defend their Homeland and democracy in the world, are mourning with you.\u201d<\/section>\n<section data-context=\"{\" section><\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe are thankful to Brent for his professionalism and commitment to the values of compassion, ethics and justice,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMay Brent\u2019s life, service and sacrifice inspire generations of people all around the world to stand up in fight for the forces of light against forces of darkness,\u201d Zelensky concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Filmmaker Juan Arredondo, also an American, was injured in the attack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomebody offered to take us to the other bridge, and we crossed a checkpoint, and they started shooting at us. So the driver turned around, and they kept shooting, two of us.
