The dude who made his billions off the greening of America with his electric-car company known as Tesla is now gaslighting the Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/09\/why-biden-energy-policies-have-contributed-to-surging-oil-prices\/\">administration\u2019s delusional agenda.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Musk is known to <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/02\/02\/elon-musk-lashes-out-at-associated-press-over-tesla-recall\/\">speak his mind,<\/a> so I\u2019m not totally shocked he\u2019s now throwing shade on Team Biden\u2019s latest green gimmick \u2014 that we should immediately dump our <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/06\/california-new-york-gas-prices-continue-to-surge-amid-russia-ukraine-conflict\/\">nasty gas guzzlers <\/a>for the allegedly affordable electric vehicles offered by Tesla and, increasingly, the mainstream automobile industry.<\/p>\n<p>But what\u2019s surprising me is that even financial executives who have embraced the green revolution, people like Larry Fink, the CEO of money-management <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/02\/19\/larry-fink-as-wall-st-dr-evil-woke-within-reason\/\">powerhouse BlackRock, <\/a>are increasingly urging caution on the overnight transition to a green economy, including an immediate embrace <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/02\/10\/new-york-gets-26m-in-first-tranche-of-funds-for-electric-car-charging-stations\/\">of electric vehicles.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The consequences, they warn, will be rapid inflation even above the pace we\u2019re seeing now. It\u2019s a massive tax on the poor and working class who will have to pay more <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/02\/17\/gas-prices-could-reach-7-a-gallon-as-russia-ukraine-tensions-escalate\/\">to travel to work<\/a> and eat given the costs associated with energy consumption. As oil is climbing to $150 a barrel and gas prices head toward $8 a gallon in some \u00adplaces because of the Russian <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/12\/russian-forces-ramp-up-air-artillery-attacks-in-ramp-up-air-and-artillery-attacks\/\">invasion of Ukraine, <\/a>it\u2019s the last thing we as country need right now.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s scary that those words of caution haven\u2019t pierced the thick skulls of the policymakers in DC. During the event, Harris sought to be inspiring, but came off as someone <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/02\/16\/heres-why-used-cars-are-getting-so-expensive\/\">hawking used cars.<\/a> She said the American people should sit back and \u201cimagine a future\u201d where every car, bus and truck is powered by electricity. It can happen sooner than you think, our VP assured us, where \u201cthe freight trucks that deliver bread and milk to our grocery store shelves and the buses that take children to school and parents to work . . . produce zero emissions. Well, you all imagined it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She got one thing right: \u201cIt\u2019s all imag\u00adinary\u201d was my first thought. Here\u2019s what they told me: Of course electric cars hold <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/12\/24\/tesla-explodes-after-mechanics-charge-man-23k-for-new-battery\/\">out great promise,<\/a> but they\u2019re not going mainstream tomorrow or even next year or maybe not the next five years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Why? They\u2019re expensive for the average person (average cost of around $56,000). Electricity doesn\u2019t grow on trees; It\u2019s created by burning those dreaded fossil fuels or by <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/05\/26\/white-house-announces-plan-for-wind-farms-off-california-coast\/\">inefficient wind turbines.<\/a> You will need nuclear power to ramp up capacity to meet the imaginary levels of our VP.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And how many nuclear plants will the environmentalists running the Biden administration really allow?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Electric vehicles also run on batteries. Those batteries rely on nickel, lithium and cobalt, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/11\/28\/chinese-titan-lavished-hunter-biden-with-3-carat-gem-offer-of-30-million\/\">minerals where China<\/a> has become a significant \u00adrefiner. Don\u2019t believe me or my Wall Street sources, but listen to Musk \u2014 the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/07\/elon-musk-refuses-to-block-russian-news-sites-from-starlink\/\">electric-vehicle king.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously this would negatively affect Tesla, but sustainable energy solutions simply cannot react instantaneously to make up for Russian <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/08\/biden-set-to-ban-russian-energy-imports-after-bipartisan-pressure\/\">oil &#038; gas exports,\u201d<\/a> he recently tweeted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n\t<\/aside>\n<p>As for the investment fad known as ESG <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/05\/russian-invasion-sheds-light-on-hypocrisy-of-gary-gensler-corporate-wokesters\/\">(Environmental Social Governance)<\/a> that\u2019s pushing companies to overnight adopt everything green including EVs, Musk says they \u201chave been twisted to insanity\u201d and \u201cshould be deleted if not fixed.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Good advice. Too bad Team Biden won\u2019t listen.<\/p>\n<h2>Niall a DeSantis man<\/h2>\n<p>Last week\u2019s supposedly hyper-secretive media mogul bash by super-banker <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2012\/04\/18\/top-banker-leaving-ubs\/\">Aryeh Bourkoff<\/a> of \u00adLionTree Advisers got off to a rough start, I am told. Last Sunday night, the honchos were greeted with a speech from the Scottish historian and public intellectual Niall Ferguson.<\/p>\n<p>If you know Ferguson, he\u2019s the political opposite from most of the lefty media types who attend this confab, which made for some tense moments when he endorsed a conservative rising star, Florida <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/01\/21\/dear-ron-desantis-take-trumps-grumbling-as-a-compliment\/\">Gov. Ron DeSantis,<\/a> for president in 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need a strong president,\u201d Ferguson said, I have confirmed. \u201cGod forbid it\u2019s Hillary Clinton. Not Donald Trump. Can\u2019t be Kamala Harris.
