The new documents contain several bombshell allegations that were not previously mentioned by the FBI, the lead investigating agency on the Petito and Laundrie case.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Documents said officials believe Petito died on August 27.<\/p>\n<div class=\"nlp-ignore-block article-content rich-text\">Laundrie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/health\/2021\/11\/23\/autopsy-brian-laundrie-died-of-gunshot-wound-to-his-head\/\">died<\/a> of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head, a lawyer for his family said in November.<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe 23-year-old was being sought in Petito\u2019s disappearance and death when officials found\u00a0his skeletal remains in the Carlton Reserve located near his parents\u2019 residence in North Port, Florida, in October,\u201d Breitbart News reported at the time.<\/p>\n<p>In January, authorities revealed they had found a notebook near Laundrie\u2019s remains in which he confessed to killing the young woman.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The couple had been traveling across the country when Petito disappeared and Laundrie returned home in her van in September without her. The young woman was reported missing a few days later, and authorities eventually found her remains in Wyoming.<\/p>\n<p>Although a coroner ruled Petito\u2019s death a homicide by strangulation, according to the lawsuit, she was reportedly found with blunt force injuries to her head and neck as well.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the young woman\u2019s parents have claimed Laundrie informed his parents about the murder in late August, the WFLA report continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt is believed, and therefore averred that\u2026 Brian Laundrie advised his parents, Christopher Laundrie and Roberta Laundrie, that he had murdered Gabrielle Petito,\u201d the lawsuit states. \u201cOn that same date, Christopher Laundrie and Roberta Laundrie spoke with Attorney Steve Bertolino, and sent him a retainer on Sept. 2, 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Petito\u2019s parents also believe Laundrie\u2019s parents were going to help him flee the country, the report added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">5\/7<br \/>Here is Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino\u2019s response to the lawsuit.
