He was pronounced dead on the scene and his death was immediately ruled an accident.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The Travis County Medical Examiner now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2022\/03\/09\/bones-actor-heath-freeman-autopsy-reveal-death-mixed-drug-toxicity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">says<\/a> that the death was caused by a lethal mixture of booze and several drugs. (Frazer Harrison\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Former Miss USA and reality television personality Shanna Moakler mourned Freeman\u2019s death in an Instagram post last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHeartbroken to hear of the loss of my dear friend Heath Freeman, talented actor, director, producer, outstanding chef and a solid friend,\u201d she wrote along with a photo of the two together. \u201cYou will be so dearly missed, and I will cherish every amazing memory we all had\u2026 and we have a lot of great ones!! Godspeed.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CWRQZTzB87C\/?utm_source=ig_embed&#038;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\">\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Freeman\u2019s manager, Joe S. Montifiore, said on Nov. 15, \u201cWe are truly devastated at the loss of our beloved Heath Freeman. A brilliant human being with an intense and soulful spirit, he leaves us with an indelible imprint in our hearts,\u201d Montifiore said in a statement at the time. \u201cHis life was filled with deep loyalty, affection, and generosity towards his family and friends, and an extraordinary zest for life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Best known for portraying the killer Howard Epps on the Fox police drama <i>Bones<\/i>, Freeman also had roles on <i>ER, NCIS<\/i>, and <i>Raising the Bar, <\/i>and others.
