It\u2019s time to allow women to play professional baseball as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the <em>New York Post<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/11\/eric-adams-says-its-time-for-women-in-mlb\/?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&#038;utm_source=NYPTwitter&#038;utm_medium=SocialFlow\">reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>While baseball has no ban on women playing, no females have ever\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/01\/09\/yankees-make-rachel-balkovec-first-female-manager-in-minors\/\">played<\/a> in the major leagues. In 2019 Melissa Mayeux, a shortstop from France who played softball for the University of Louisiana,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/go.web.plus.espn.com\/c\/2229206\/531512\/9070?_ir=U210%7C3c81965e-79ad-11ea-827b-42010a246c14%7C1647036841875&#038;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.espn.com%2Fespnw%2Fsports%2Fstory%2F_%2Fid%2F27067288%2Fwhen-first-female-play-major-leagues-mlb&#038;stat=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">became<\/a> the first woman\u00a0added\u00a0to Major League Baseball\u2019s international registration list, thus making her able to be signed to MLB.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The comment seemingly came out of nowhere, as the press conference had nothing to do with women playing in Major League Baseball. However, the randomness of the comment is only rivaled by its lunacy of it. There isn\u2019t a surplus of women capable of playing at the major league level, and no one (other than liberal politicians pandering to their loony liberal bases) is clamoring to see women play in MLB.<\/p>\n<p>The American sports fan tired long ago of seeing their favorite games become a showcase for whacky leftists and their idiotic ideas.<\/p>\n<p>New York, and America, have enough problems.
