Create your own uniform. Be a cover model. A powerful athlete. Or compete as a trans woman. Impossible? No. I\u2019mpossible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>Abreu \u201cpioneered doing something that has never been done before: becoming the first transgender athlete in Brazil\u2019s Superliga,\u201d Adidas\u2019s YouTube description says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot only is she an unstoppable athlete, but she also uses her voice to encourage others to embrace their own identities,\u201d the caption reads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am Tifanny Abreu,\u201d the transgender athlete narrates. \u201cI play for Brazil. And for all trans women. So when you cheer my name, we all win, on and off the court. My story is not impossible. Because I\u2019m possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span>Adidas did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Daily Wire regarding the ads, originally published in February.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>Adidas also featured Abreu in a 2021 ad campaign called \u201cImpossible Is Nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The brand captioned the 2021 ad: \u201cTifanny Abreu only saw possibilities. To be a Trans Woman. A professional athlete. And an inspiration\u2014for all of us\u2014to be whoever and whatever we want to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The transgender athlete was \u201cthe first trans woman to be the face of a major brand,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outsports.com\/2021\/4\/23\/22398883\/tiffany-abreu-volleyball-adidas-brazil-superliga-transgender-athlete-ad-fivb\">Outsports reported at the time<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy greatest legacy is not to reach an Olympics, but to open paths for new trans athletes in the near future. My wish is that, more and more, confederations start to see us not as trans people, but as athletes,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uol.com.br\/universa\/noticias\/redacao\/2021\/04\/21\/tiffany-abreu.htm\">Abreu told the publication Universa in 2021<\/a>. \u201cI am sure that, in the future, these athletes will represent our country and I dream of the day when we will be seen as just any athlete, without controversy and hatred.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>The ads come ahead of the\u00a0<span class=\"il\">NCAA<\/span>\u00a0Division I Women\u2019s Swimming &#038; Diving Championship where swimmer Lia Thomas, a biological man who identifies as a transgender woman, will compete in women\u2019s races.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just want to show trans kids and younger trans athletes that they\u2019re not alone,\u201d Thomas reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/i-am-here-to-swim-transgender-swimmer-lia-thomas-shares-story-with-sports-illustrated\">said in an interview with Sports Illustrated<\/a>. \u201cThey don\u2019t have to choose between who they are and the sport they love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thomas won several women\u2019s titles at the Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships in February, setting a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-sports\/story\/_\/id\/33323797\/penn-quakers-swimmer-lia-thomas-wins-200-meter-freestyle-2nd-title-ivy-league-women-swimming-championship\">record<\/a>\u00a0in both the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle.<\/p>\n<p>The transgender swimmer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/i-am-here-to-swim-transgender-swimmer-lia-thomas-shares-story-with-sports-illustrated\">is favored<\/a> to win both the\u00a0200 and 500-yard freestyle events at the NCAA Women\u2019s Division I Swimming and Diving Championships, beginning March 16 in Atlanta, Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>Sports Illustrated reports that Thomas\u00a0is on course to be 7-time Olympic gold medalist Katie Ledecky\u2019s \u201cteammate at the 2024 Games in Paris\u2014and perhaps challenge Ledecky\u2019s Olympic records.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eleven states <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/utahs-republican-governor-vows-to-veto-bill-protecting-womens-sports\">have recently enacted legislation<\/a> banning biological males from competing in women\u2019s sports, and at least 29 states have made moves to craft or pass legislation banning biological males from women\u2019s sports, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aclu.org\/legislation-affecting-lgbtq-rights-across-country\">according to data compiled<\/a> by the American Civil Liberties Union.<\/p>\n<p>Other Republican-backed legislation <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/12\/here-are-the-states-that-want-to-ban-trans-surgeries-for-minors\/\">bans minors<\/a> from obtaining transgender surgeries and hormones \u2014 medical interventions that advocates and many in the legacy media <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/14\/walt-heyer-lgbtQ-transgender\/\">frame<\/a> as \u201cgender-affirming medical care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the State of the Union address, President Joe Biden urged lawmakers to enact the radically progressive Equality Act, criticizing the \u201conslaught of state laws targeting transgender Americans and their families.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs I said last year, especially to our younger transgender Americans, I\u2019ll always have your back as your president so you can be yourself and reach your God-given potential,\u201d Biden added.<\/p>\n<p><em>Enter for the chance to hang out with Gina Carano at the premiere of her new Daily Wire movie, Terror on the Prairie!
