People\u2019s resistance to the virus will increase,\u201d Yang said, adding, \u201cit\u2019s unlikely for this wave of the outbreak to spread widely.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Yang offered his prediction on March 9, just 72 hours after Chinese health officials <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globaltimes.cn\/page\/202203\/1254254.shtml\">revealed<\/a> on March 6 that China recorded its \u201chighest daily tally of COVID-19 [Chinese coronavirus] cases in two years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>China\u2019s nationwide coronavirus tally soared to 526 on Sunday.
