(Photo credit should read LUDOVIC MARIN\/AFP\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Fifteen of the 19 hijackers on September 11 were Saudi nationals and while the Saudi government has long claimed it had no involvement in the deadly attacks, the letter points out that recently unsealed intelligence records show the Saudi government had engaged in \u201cgaslighting, evasions, and outright lies\u201d:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>These intelligence records confirm that core elements of the Saudi government, including the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, were deeply intertwined with al Qaeda in the decade leading up to the September 11, 2001 attacks, and provided al Qaeda with crucial support that enabled them to plan and carry out their mission.<\/p>\n<p>We see confirmation that the first-arriving hijackers received aid and comfort from Saudi government agents who were deployed to the United States to engage in anti-American, radical Wahhabi activities.<\/p>\n<p>Making it all the worse, these radicals were also serving as intelligence agents for the Saudi state. At least seven Saudi government agents were implicated in the FBI\u2019s p. 2 investigation of the support network for the first arriving hijackers, many of whom had other connections to al Qaeda and terrorism.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As Americans experience record-level gas prices in the wake of Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine, Biden will reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/biden-saudi-trip-oil-b7a91070-8045-4155-9120-a35d59fd7603.html\">turn<\/a> his attention on Saudia Arabia for more oil.
