I am NOT suicidal. I am innocent, and I am not suicidal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Smollett continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-71 Component-p-0-2-62\">If I did this, then it means I stuck my fist in the fears of black Americans in this country for over 400 years and the fears of the LGBTQ community. Your honor, I respect you and I respect the jury, but I did not do this, and I am not suicidal. And if anything happens to me when I go in there, I did not do it to myself, and you must all know that. I respect you, your honor. I respect your decision. Jail time [pause]. I am not suicidal.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-71 Component-p-0-2-62\">Linn denied a request to suspend Smollett\u2019s sentence and ordered he be placed in custody immediately.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-71 Component-p-0-2-62\">Smollett was also ordered to pay $120,106 in restitution. He again shouted \u201cI am not suicidal!\u201d with a raised fist as Sheriff\u2019s deputies led him out of the courtroom.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;I am not suicidal!&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/JussieSmollett?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#JussieSmollett<\/a> was sentenced to 150 days in prison for hate crime hoax.
