Premiering May 25th on Disney+, the latest\u00a0<em>Star Wars<\/em>\u00a0spinoff from\u00a0<em>The Mandalorian<\/em>\u00a0and<em>\u00a0The Book of Boba Fett<\/em>\u00a0studio Lucasfilm promises the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/tv-shows\/news\/star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-trailer-disney-plus-day-darth-vader-rematch-concept-art\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rematch of the century<\/a>&#8221; with McGregor&#8217;s prequel trilogy co-star <a href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/category\/hayden-christensen\/\">Hayden Christensen<\/a>.\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/category\/obi-wan-kenobi-comicmovie\/\">Obi-Wan Kenobi<\/a><\/em>\u00a0is <a href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/tv-shows\/news\/star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-series-disney-plus-footage-description-sizzle-darth-vader-rematch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">set 10 years<\/a> after the dramatic events of 2005&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith<\/em>, where Kenobi (McGregor) faced his greatest defeat: the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker (Christensen), turned evil Sith Lord <a href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/category\/darth-vader\/\">Darth Vader<\/a>. Watch the first footage above. <\/p>\n<p>Deborah Chow (<em>The Mandalorian<\/em>) directs all six episodes of the limited series from head writer Joby Harold (<em>King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts).\u00a0<\/em>A decade after the Jedi master <a href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/tv-shows\/news\/star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-villains-inquisitors-stormtroopers-disney-plus-day-sizzle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">went into hiding<\/a> to watch over a young Luke Skywalker, the story starts on Tatooine before going off-planet on a &#8220;rollicking adventure,&#8221; McGregor said in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/tv-shows\/news\/star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-series-disney-plus-footage-description-sizzle-darth-vader-rematch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">behind-the-scenes look<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is quite a dark time that we&#8217;re coming into with him,&#8221; Chow said of the era between\u00a0<em>Revenge of the Sith<\/em>\u00a0and <em>Star Wars: A New Hope<\/em>. &#8220;Just being a Jedi is not safe.
