The U.S. imported more than 670,000 barrels of oil per day from Russia in 2021, government data <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eia.gov\/dnav\/pet\/pet_move_neti_a_EP00_IMN_mbblpd_m.htm\">showed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Biden said that energy companies have increased energy production during his tenure. However, the Energy Information Administration, which tracks global energy markets, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/18\/united-states-energy-crude-oil-imports-joe-biden\/\">forecasted<\/a> on Feb. 18 that the U.S. would again become a net importer of oil in 2022. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/07\/white-house-oil-gas-leasing-russia-ukraine\/\">(RELATED: ANALYSIS: White House Keeps Misleading Public On Oil, Gas Leasing. Here Are The Facts)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>More, fossil fuel industry groups have <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/24\/fossil-fuel-industry-oil-gas-production-russia-ukraine\/\">urged<\/a> the Biden administration to reverse its energy policies and prioritize domestic production of oil and natural gas in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.senate.gov\/2022\/3\/barrasso-it-s-time-for-president-biden-to-take-the-shackles-off-american-energy\">Republicans<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/01\/joe-manchin-crude-oil-imports-russia\/\">Democrats<\/a> have urged the president to open up avenues of domestic energy production amid the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/08\/i-am-not-afraid-of-anyone-ukrainian-president-reveals-location\/\">Ukraine crisis<\/a>, which has <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/24\/crude-oil-prices-100-per-barrel-russia-ukraine\/\">roiled<\/a> global oil markets.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>\u201cThe United States has shown its global energy dominance over the past decade. Unfortunately, this has been threatened by the current Administration\u2019s policies against domestic natural gas and oil production,\u201d Independent Petroleum Association of America COO Jeff Eshelman told the Daily Caller News Foundation in early March. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/02\/joe-biden-energy-policies-crude-oil-natural-gas-russia\/\">(RELATED: ANALYSIS: How Biden\u2019s Energy Policies Enabled Putin\u2019s Aggression In Ukraine)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since taking office, President Joe Biden has waged a war on fossil fuels,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/17\/joe-biden-keystone-xl-pipeline-montana\/\">nixing<\/a>\u00a0the Keystone XL oil pipeline,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/20\/joe-biden-administration-interior-department-alaska-oil-drilling-energy-prices\/\">ditching<\/a>\u00a0an oil drilling project in Alaska,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/02\/joe-biden-environmental-protection-agency-methane-emissions-oil-gas-industry\/\">introducing<\/a>\u00a0sweeping fossil fuel regulations and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/17\/federal-energy-regulatory-commission-natural-gas-pipelines-policy\/\">making it harder<\/a> for utilities to gain approval for natural gas projects.
