(Photo by Ethan Miller\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Velasquez was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/sports\/2022\/03\/02\/report-cain-velasquez-tried-to-shoot-man-accused-of-molesting-family-member\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">arrested<\/a> on Feb. 28 after allegedly assaulting Harry Eugene Goularte, who was charged with sexually molesting a young relative of the 39-year-old fighter. Velasquez was accused of shooting a gun into Goularte\u2019s vehicle.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Velasquez\u2019s attorney, Mark Geragos, argued that his client was only doing what anyone would do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs there anybody out there who would say to a father that this is not what you should do?\u201d Geragos said in court. \u201cIs there anybody out there who finds it beyond the pale that a father was not consulted when they released the perpetrator back into the public with zero-dollar bail, yet they\u2019re holding Cain on no bail? This is why people are disgusted \u2014 and rightfully so \u2014 with the criminal justice system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Velasquez was charged with attempted murder and ten other gun charges.
