They are information-gatherers. There is no shame or ickiness associated with using bandaids and that same philosophy is applied to condoms and other barriers in this body-positive curriculum.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>Meanwhile, the current meta description for the Eventbrite link&#8217;s social media card reads: &#8220;Consent. Communication. Personal empowerment. Boundary setting. Emotional IQ. All the things kids NEED to learn that school doesn&#8217;t teach.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>Regular registration for the week-long 8 am &#8211; 5 pm sex ed summer camp costs parents an eye-popping $250, according to the colorful event graphic.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>All families participating in the event must attend an orientation on May 28 where parents will sign &#8220;behavior agreements,&#8221; enrollment paperwork, and waivers.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<figure class=\"kg-card kg-embed-card\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">An entire summer camp devoted to Sex Education for 10-12 year olds. Event organizers are still hiring high school assistants.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>To access the private event portal, parents seeking to enroll his or her elementary-aged child must request the password from the Eventbrite organizer, Our Whole Lives curriculum facilitator and &#8220;sexuality educator&#8221; Ashley Robertson.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uua.org\/re\/owl\">Our Whole Lives<\/a> is a series of comprehensive sexuality curricula for youth and young adults published by the Unitarian Universalist Association. The sexuality education lessons are broken down by age groups, including for children in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uuabookstore.org\/Our-Whole-Lives-Grades-K-1-P16662.aspx\">kindergarten through first grade (K-1)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uuabookstore.org\/Our-Whole-Lives-Grades-4-6-Second-Edition-P18181.aspx\">fourth grade through fifth grade<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>Stop Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comprehensivesexualityeducation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/15-Harmful-Elements-Our-Whole-Lives-K-1-FINAL.pdf\">an analysis<\/a> of the program designed for the youngest age demographic. &#8220;Our Whole Lives teaches children about masturbation by first identifying sensitive body parts like the clitoris and then telling children that genitals can be rubbed for pleasure as an acceptable activity as long as it is done in private,&#8221; Stop CSE warns.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>The program also &#8220;normalizes&#8221; diverse sexual orientations and gender identities, going so far as to have children redefine &#8220;family,&#8221; Stop CSE claims.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>Chalkboard Review co-founder Tony Kinnett had first reported on the summer camp Monday and quickly dug into Robertson&#8217;s eyebrow-raising background.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>Kinnett is a former STEM teacher at Indianapolis Public Schools who was placed on administrative leave and later <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheTonus\/status\/1472975245258768389\">fired in December<\/a> after he called for transparency over the teaching of critical race theory in the district&#8217;s classrooms.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>In an extensive Twitter thread, Kinnett found Robertson&#8217;s public Facebook group &#8220;Let&#8217;s Talk About Sex Ed with Ms. Ashley&#8221; comprised of over 900 members.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<figure class=\"kg-card kg-image-card kg-card-hascaption\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Robertson-public-group.jpg\" class=\"kg-image\" alt=\"\" \/><figcaption>Robertson&#8217;s public Facebook group<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>The group&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20220307193351\/https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/787624245036055\/about\">About section<\/a> says Robertson operates &#8220;under the assumption that stigma doesn&#8217;t belong in sex ed.&#8221; She adapted the Our Whole Lives (OWL) &#8220;sexuality education&#8221; curriculum to facilitate classes and workshops in the Indianapolis-area &#8220;in a whole new way appealing to all learning styles.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;My interactive, engaging, fun workshops make this topic palatable and accessible&#8221; Robertson wrote. She noted that during a recent course of hers, one particular student commented, according to Robertson: &#8220;I&#8217;ve been in school for years and I think I&#8217;ve learned more useful stuff in this class in just a couple weeks!&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>Purple for Parents Indiana, whose mission is shining a spotlight on the sexualization of children in the public education system, had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/purpleforparentsindiana\/posts\/506671441080938\">exposed Robertson<\/a>&#8216;s &#8220;perverse grooming&#8221; of kids and the &#8220;child grooming camp for minors.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>The parent group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/purpleforparentsindiana\/posts\/506659721082110\">said<\/a> the Eventbrite link was locked down after they&#8217;d posted a &#8220;parental alert&#8221; informing members that the &#8220;grooming techniques&#8221; such as Robertson&#8217;s are the same ones used by sex traffickers and pedophiles alike.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>Robertson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/787624245036055\/posts\/1360524727746001\/\">responded<\/a> to the exposure by calling Purple Parents &#8220;a hate group here in Indiana&#8221; who targets &#8220;books, social emotional learning, LGBTQ+ folx, etc.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>A parent with a &#8220;Sometimes Antisocial, Always Antifascist&#8221; profile picture frame commented on Robertson&#8217;s post: &#8220;Well, my kiddo is excited to attend. What is the only way to get comfortable with the unknown? Exposure. Practice. Opportunities. Pushing out of your comfort zone. Kids are no different. Have your kids have the opportunity to explore condoms? It takes many repetitions before kids master knowledge. This means they should have MANY exposures to condoms, why we need to use condoms, and how to use them. Make it fun! Take the pressure off,&#8221; Roberson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/787624245036055\/posts\/1284693445329130\/\">wrote<\/a> on Nov. 8.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>Robertson uploaded a censored photo of a child with braids in a Minecraft hoodie stretching a condom out with her bare hand, squeezed into it like it&#8217;s a glove.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<figure class=\"kg-card kg-image-card kg-card-hascaption\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Robertson-condom-photo.jpg\" class=\"kg-image\" alt=\"\" \/><figcaption>Robertson posted a photo of a child playing with a condom | Facebook: Nov. 8, 2021<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>She posted the same photo to Instagram with a different caption describing what happened when she cleaned out her top dresser drawer as &#8220;a sex-positive parent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>Robertson explained to her child that condoms have lubricant on them because, &#8220;Lube makes them slimy&#8221; and &#8220;It makes it easier to get inside the vagina.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;Condoms should be stored where kids and youth have access to them. Have you had them open a condom yet? It doesn&#8217;t have to be gross or weird. Imagine you&#8217;re explaining how a band-aid works. With that frame of mind, just do it,&#8221; Robertson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CVSjD9jr8Cf\/\">wrote<\/a>. Among what the sixth graders through eigth graders asked Robertson, the students wondered: &#8220;Why are my balls so itchy?&#8221;, &#8220;What is squirting?&#8221;, &#8220;How does an erection work? Is there a bone that grows inside the penis?&#8221;, &#8220;Why do people randomly have wet dreams?&#8221;, and &#8220;What is the best birth control?&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<figure class=\"kg-card kg-image-card kg-card-hascaption\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Robertson-post-question-box.jpg\" class=\"kg-image\" alt=\"\" \/><figcaption>Robertson used a question box during an Our Whole Lives class to solicit sex-focused questions from middle school students | Instagram: Oct. 26, 2021<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>In the Facebook group&#8217;s Discussion section, Robertson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/787624245036055\/posts\/1329529347512206\/\">announced<\/a> in mid-January she tested positive for a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Choosing to &#8220;take control of this narrative,&#8221; Robertson applauded herself for testing regularly and discovering the infection fast,&#8221; I&#8217;m buying donuts. I&#8217;m celebrating. I&#8217;ve got a curable sexually transmitted infection. I&#8217;m going to toast myself and science!&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;I won&#8217;t succumb to the stigma associated. I won&#8217;t slut-shame myself,&#8221; Robertson continued, mentioning that her &#8220;partners and meta&#8221; consented to her disclosure.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>Then she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/622809\/gonorrhea-rate-in-the-us-by-age-and-sex\">linked statistics<\/a> showing the rates of reported gonorrhea cases in the United States in 2019, by age and gender, hinting that&#8217;s what she contracted.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-5e19d842=\"\">\n<p>Robertson concluded the Jan. 17 post: &#8220;Guess what&#8230; Now I get to empathize from experience when\/if this enters my kids&#8217; narrative.
