If the driver agrees to it, the move would have the effect of removing visible links to Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Mazepin, who said he was willing to sign the commitment to keep racing in F1, released a statement via Twitter shortly following the announcement from Haas \u2014 which effectively dropped him as a driver from the American team.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI am very disappointed\u00a0to hear that my F1 contract has been\u00a0terminated,\u201d\u00a0Mazepin said to his\u00a0fans and followers. \u201cWhile I understand the difficulties,\u00a0the ruling from FIA plus my ongoing willingness\u00a0to accept the conditions proposed in order to\u00a0continue were completely ignored and no\u00a0process was followed in this unilateral step.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"und\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6QHUDTXryv\">pic.twitter.com\/6QHUDTXryv<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Nikita Mazepin (@nikita_mazepin) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nikita_mazepin\/status\/1500047069150691339?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 5, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The F1 driver added: \u201cTo\u00a0those who have tried to understand, my eternal\u00a0thanks.
