Come on,\u201d one source told The Daily Beast, referring to the show\u2019s creator Sam Levinson \u2014 son of famed\u00a0<em>Rain Man\u00a0<\/em>director Barry Levinson \u2014 who allegedly arrives on set without a shot list and decides what to shoot off the cuff. \u201cIt felt very privileged on that set.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The Daily Beast\u2019s ources added that\u00a0people eventually began \u201cdropping like flies,\u201d with the casting agency having to constantly recruit more extras.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI understand that I\u2019m doing background work,\u201d one actor told The Daily Beast. \u201cI\u2019m not the most important person there, I know where I am on the totem pole.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut it got to a point where I was like, I\u2019m still a person, I\u2019m still human. Please let me go to the restroom, don\u2019t tell me I can\u2019t go for 30 minutes or tell me I can\u2019t get a snack when you\u2019re not going to feed me and it\u2019s 4 a.m.,\u201d the actor added. \u201cIt just very much felt like we didn\u2019t exist as people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another actor told the outlet, \u201cIt was the\u00a0most disorganized set that I\u2019ve ever been a part of because I don\u2019t think anybody knew what was going on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were times after 14 hours we were told, \u2018This is the last scene, we\u2019re done after lunch,\u2019 we took lunch, waited around two and a half hours, and then we went back to set,\u201d the actor added. \u201cIt felt toxic to me because I don\u2019t think anybody was really happy to be there.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>HBO provided the following statement in response:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The well-being of cast and crew on our productions is always a top priority. The production was in full compliance with all safety guidelines and guild protocols. It\u2019s not uncommon for drama series to have complex shoots, and COVID protocols add an additional layer. We maintain an open line of communication with all the guilds, including SAG-AFTRA.
