The infrastructure is there. The beta test is complete, and next is against the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mandel addressed the Biden administration\u2019s policies restricting energy development in Ohio and the broader northeastern U.S., <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/01\/20\/executive-order-protecting-public-health-and-environment-and-restoring-science-to-tackle-climate-crisis\/\">marketed<\/a> by the White House as \u201cpublic health\u201d measures to address \u201cclimate change.\u201d Artificial suppression of domestic production of natural oil and gas, he noted, increases American dependence on foreign energy production and contributes to increasing global commodity prices.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>He linked U.S. energy production to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, particularly the Biden administration\u2019s revocation of the permit for the Keystone XL Pipeline carrying crude oil from Alberta to refineries in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p><span>He remarked, \u201cIt\u2019s impossible to talk about America\u2019s role in this whole conflict without talking about Biden\u2019s energy policy. When Trump left the White House, he left America energy independent, and we were a minor exporter of oil and gas into Europe and other places.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAll Biden had to do was nothing \u2026 and continue it,\u201d Mandel continued. \u201cWe would have continued to be energy independent, and by now, we might be a mass exporter of oil and gas into places like Germany, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium, Poland, wherever. Instead, Biden comes in, he shuts down the Keystone XL pipeline.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Mandel said the U.S. should increase domestic development of fossil fuel energies to decrease its dependence on OPEC and OPEC\u2019s broader influence on global energy production.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cHow about instead of depending on Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain and Qatar, we depend on places like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma?\u201d he asked. \u201cI<\/span><span>n my state of Ohio, we have an abundance of natural gas in the Utica and Marcellus Shale. In fact, if you took Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia \u2014 Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia \u2014 you combine our three states into a region, that region would be the third-largest producer of natural gas in the world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He assessed, \u201cIf we would have been an aggressive exporter of oil and gas into Europe and undercut Putin\u2019s prices there, Putin wouldn\u2019t have the time or the energy or the money to be attacking Ukraine.
