It predates the current conflict in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Facebook video, viewed over 4,800 times, shows two soldiers in uniforms and wearing black balaclava masks embracing women who appear to be emotionally distraught. \u201cUKRAINE SOLDIERS LEAVING THEIR WIVES FOR WAR,\u201d reads the video\u2019s caption. \u201cLATEST COVERAGE ON UKRAINE VS RUSSIA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ukrainian citizens across the country have taken up arms to defend their nation from the Russian invasion, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/ukrainians-arms-defend-russia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The clip shared on Facebook, however, is from a film and predates the current crisis in Ukraine. A reverse image search reveals the footage shows a scene from a film titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt6702956\/?ref_=ttpl_pl_tt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The War Of Chimeras<\/a>.\u201d The film, released in 2017, tells the \u201cstory of war, love and death\u201d and follows a young couple as they navigate conflict and relationships in war-torn eastern Ukraine, according to the movie\u2019s description on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt6702956\/plotsummary?ref_=tt_ov_pl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IMDb<\/a>.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>A preview of the film was uploaded to <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/8uCrNixmNZ4?t=9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YouTube<\/a> in April 2018, where the scene featured in the Facebook post can be seen around 10 seconds into the video. <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/03\/02\/fact-check-russia-ukraine-war-injured-child\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>(RELATED: Does This Image Show A Child Who Was Injured During The Russian Invasion Of Ukraine?)<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time a video has been falsely linked to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
