Of those, 40 percent said it is \u201cvery\u201d likely.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>A majority across the board share the sentiment that it will hurt the economy, including 79 percent of Republicans, 72 percent of Democrats, and 73 percent of independents.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">How long will the Russian invasion affect the US economy?<\/p>\n<p><6 months>6-12 months \u2013 34%<br \/>12 months+ \u2013 28%<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/QjKOVxunhq\">https:\/\/t.co\/QjKOVxunhq<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/bideneconomy?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#bideneconomy<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/UkraineInvasion?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#UkraineInvasion<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/oilprice?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#oilprice<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@POTUS<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0EU0mMoJYL\">pic.twitter.com\/0EU0mMoJYL<\/a><\/6><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rasmussen Reports (@Rasmussen_Poll) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Rasmussen_Poll\/status\/1499799334770167809?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 4, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>When <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/current_events\/russia\/americans_fear_economic_impact_of_ukraine_conflict\">asked<\/a> how long the economic impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine will affect the U.S., 34 percent said \u201csix months to a year,\u201d followed by 28 percent who said \u201cmore than a year\u201d and 20 percent who said \u201cless than six months\u201d:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>There is less disagreement along partisan lines about how long the Russian invasion of Ukraine could impact the U.S. economy, although fewer Democrats (22%) than Republicans (29%) or unaffiliateds (32%) think the impact could last more than a year.<\/p>\n<p>More whites (77%) than Blacks (69%) or other minorities (73%) believe the Russian invasion of Ukraine is at least somewhat likely to hurt the American economy.<\/p>\n<p>Older Americans are significantly more likely than those under 40 to think it\u2019s likely the U.S. economy will be hurt by the Russia-Ukraine conflict. While 51% of those 65 and older think it\u2019s Very Likely the invasion will hurt the American economy, only 30% of those under 40 share that view.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The survey, taken March 1-2, 2022, among 1,000 U.S. adults, has a margin of error of +\/- 3 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Many remain skeptical of President Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/03\/poll-majority-say-bidens-response-russias-invasion-ukraine-ineffective\/\">handling<\/a> of the situation, as most tend to believe his response \u2014 namely, sanctions \u2014 has been ineffective. During the State of the Union speech, where Biden mistakenly referred to Ukrainians as \u201cIranians,\u201d the president continued to tout \u201cpowerful economic sanctions\u201d against Russia.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is among those who have criticized Biden\u2019s handling of the situation, noting that the president has failed to hit Vladimir Putin where it really counts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir whole society is hollowed out except for that energy,\u201d DeSantis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/01\/ron-desantis-on-ukraine-crisis-biden-wont-hit-putin-where-it-counts\/\">said<\/a> of Russia. \u201cAnd so if you want to hit them, hit them at the gas pump. Hit them with energy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Biden] has stepped on the neck of our domestic energy here in the United States. We should have Keystone reactivated in the United States. He should get rid of the ban on producing in federal lands, and he should welcome more domestic energy production. We were before Biden took office, for the first time in any of our lifetimes, actually energy independent.
