The Hill\u2019s channel is unable to upload new videos for seven days, although its older videos can still be accessed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe covered former President Trump\u2019s remarks about Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine,\u201d the account <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HillTVLive\/status\/1499483477187698692\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a>. \u201cIn a soundbite, he repeated his claim that the 2020 election was stolen. Our discussion focused on what Trump said about Putin and did not explicitly rebut claims of election fraud.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/30\/youtube-ron-paul-rand-paul\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: YouTube Deletes Ron Paul Channel, Rejects Appeal, Then Reinstates It After Getting Called Out On Twitter)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ryangrim\/status\/1499545712668905473\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">content<\/a> in question featured Trump speaking with Fox News host Laura Ingraham and attributing Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine to the stolen presidential election, as well as raw footage of Trump continuing to deny the validity of the election results during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">YouTube suspended The Hill\u2014which produces Rising, the show I co-host with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ryangrim?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ryangrim<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KimIversenShow?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@KimIversenShow<\/a>\u2014for election misinfo. It\u2019s a crazy story that shows how this policy goes much, much, much further than anyone knows, and actually imperils journalism. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7UZ5k3rBYP\">https:\/\/t.co\/7UZ5k3rBYP<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Robby Soave (@robbysoave) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/robbysoave\/status\/1499520827246759936?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 3, 2022<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s hard to understand how the cause of fighting misinformation could be well-served by punishing news channels that educate viewers about what their political leaders are saying,\u201d Rising host Robby Soave told the Daily Caller News Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>When reached for comment, YouTube policy communications manager Ivy Choi confirmed that the channel had been suspended for posting content in violation of YouTube\u2019s policies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe removed content from and issued a strike to this channel for violating our election integrity policy, and as a result, this channel is suspended from publishing new videos or livestreams for seven days,\u201d Choi told the Daily Caller News Foundation. \u201cWe do allow for content with sufficient educational, documentary, scientific or artistic context, which the removed content did not contain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Soave addressed the suspension in an <a href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2022\/03\/03\/youtube-rising-the-hill-election-misinformation-suspension\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> for Reason, arguing that YouTube\u2019s expansive election integrity policy \u201ceffectively outlaws straight news reporting on YouTube.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is one thing for YouTube to ban people who are making false claims,\u201d Soave wrote. \u201cIt is quite another for YouTube to prohibit people from educating their viewers about the reality that the former president is still spreading these false claims.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
