None of his shots hit Taylor or her neighbors, and the two other officers involved in the raid were never charged with crimes. Louisville police fired Hankison,\u00a0a\u00a020-year veteran K-9 officer,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/01\/06\/two-louisville-detectives-fired-in-connection-to-breonna-taylor\/\">for the reckless shooting in June 2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Last week,\u00a0the jurors visited\u00a0Taylor\u2019s home to help inform their decision.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a counts of wanton endangerment after it deliberated for around three hours.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor, a 26-year-old Black woman, was in bed when police entered her home with a no-knock warrant on March 13, 2020. Her boyfriend fired at the officers, believing an intruder was entering the apartment. Police returned fire and killed Taylor. Simple as that,\u201d his lawyer told reporters.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor\u2019s mother, Tamika Palmer, was in the court when the verdict was released and left without commenting on the jury\u2019s decision.
