The incident occurred on the southbound platform of the Wakefield-241 St. Subway Station in the Bronx around 5:15 p.m., Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/crime\/2022\/02\/28\/suspect-smears-human-feces-on-woman-at-nyc-subway-station-police-say\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p><em>Warning: the below video contains disturbing content. After the victim ignored him, he walked into an idling subway car, defecated into a plastic bag, and returned to the woman to wipe his feces on her face, prosecutors say.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cYou like this, b\u2014h?\u201d Abrokwa asked the victim, according to prosecutors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The victim told WABC, using a translator,\u00a0<span>\u201cI got out of work and was waiting for train, sat down for a moment. All of a sudden, a man approaches me,\u201d adding, \u201cHe hits me in the face and throws a bag of feces. (DCPI)\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Surveillance video shows stranger attack woman with feces on subway platform (DCPI).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>He allegedly told police, \u201c<span>(Expletive) happens\u201d and \u201cThis is a (expletive) situation,\u201d the outlet reported.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He is charged with forcible touching, disorderly conduct, menacing, and harassment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Abrokwa was subsequently arrested\u00a0following the arraignment Tuesday as detectives recognized him as the suspect from an anti-Semitic incident last year in Brooklyn, the <em>Daily News<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Police said that on September 9, 2021, he called a Jewish man a \u201cf\u2014ing Jew\u201d before spitting and swinging at him, according to the outlet. He was arraigned Wednesday and charged with harassment and menacing as hate crimes for the incident, yet he is free to roam the streets of New York.<\/p>\n<div data-type=\"text\">\n<p>\u201cSources familiar with the proceeding said that because his other open cases were all misdemeanors, not felonies, the court couldn\u2019t set bail,\u201d the <em>Daily News<\/em> said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no law in this city,\u201d the Brooklyn victim, Menachem Minkowitz, told the outlet. \u201cI\u2019m glad he\u2019s caught. I feel terrible for that woman. I\u2019m very disappointed with how the city is handling these situations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The defendant allegedly committed a number of additional crimes in the months leading to the alleged subway attack and even the day after.<\/p>\n<p>He allegedly slugged a 30-year-old man in the face at the 125th Street subway station in Harlem on January 7, and less than a month later, on February 5, \u201che allegedly punched a 53-year-old man at the Port Authority Bus Terminal,\u201d according to WABC.<\/p>\n<p>For the January 7 incident, he was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree attempted assault, and second-degree harassment, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/01\/nyc-poop-attack-suspect-has-over-20-arrests-since-1999-cops\/\">according to the <em>New York Post<\/em><\/a>. For the alleged February 5 assault, he was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree aggravated harassment, and third-degree attempted assault.<\/p>\n<p>Metropolitan Transit Authority chairman and CEO Janno Lieber said the fact that Abrokwa is free to roam the streets \u201cdefies common sense,\u201d according to the outlet:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span>I\u2019m not a criminal justice expert but I don\u2019t understand how someone who commits this kind of assault \u2013 which was violent, horribly victimizing a transit rider \u2013 can just walk free even when he has four other open cases against him, including two other transit assaults and a hate crime charge. It defies common sense.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Abrokwa allegedly attempted to pilfer a screwdriver and pepper spray from a Bronx hardware store on February 22, WABC reported. When an employee called him out, he encouraged him to call the police and was arrested.
