The video does not feature Russian or Ukrainian soldiers.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Fact Check:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Russian forces are moving into Ukraine, encircling cities in an attempt to capture critical areas to advance their invasion, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/live\/2022\/03\/02\/world\/ukraine-russia-war\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The New York Times<\/a>. Russia claimed to be in control of the key city of Kherson, though Ukraine said the battle was not over, the outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/live\/2022\/03\/01\/world\/ukraine-russia-war#russia-claims-to-control-kherson-a-strategic-city-but-ukraine-says-the-battle-for-it-isnt-over\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/watch\/?ref=external&#038;v=482301923467686\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">video<\/a> shows uniformed soldiers maneuvering and firing weapons as helicopters fly through the air and explosions occur in the distance. The post\u2019s caption says this is \u201cLeaked Footage of Heavy WAR Fight Between Ukraine and Russia.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/02\/28\/fact-check-japan-ukraine-ambassador-photo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Does This Photo Show The Japanese Ambassador To Ukraine Dressed As A Samurai?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The clips in the Facebook video predate the Russia-Ukraine war. The footage appeared in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marines.mil\/News\/Marines-TV\/videoid\/136137\/dvpTag\/Afghans\/News\/Social-Media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">video<\/a> produced by personnel in the U.S. Marine Corps <a href=\"https:\/\/www.6thmarines.marines.mil\/units\/1st-battalion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">1st Battalion, 6th Marines<\/a> unit.
