A similar number of voters voted \u201cyes\u201d to a proposition that would ban \u201cchemical castration, puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and genital mutilation surgery on all minor children for sex transition purposes.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/02\/texas-investigate-transgender-parent-child-abuse-greg-abbott\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:\u00a0Texas Begins Investigating Parents Of Transgender Kids For Potential Child Abuse)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A proposition stating that the state should eliminate property taxes and another saying that Texasn should not be penalized for refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine were also approved by Republican voters by wide margins.<\/p>\n<p>Republican candidates for Texas\u2019 gubernatorial primary race received 1,909,955 votes, while the five Democratic Party candidates received just 1,051,356 votes, according to the Secretary of State\u2019s election website.<\/p>\n<p>Texas Republicans are excited about the voter turnout for the 2022 Republican primary, Texas Standard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasstandard.org\/stories\/what-gop-democratic-insiders-say-texas-primary-results-reveal-about-how-voters-are-feeling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>. Abbott And Beto O\u2019Rourke Take Top Slots In Gubernatorial Race)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cTonight Republicans sent a message they want to keep Texas on the path of opportunity and prosperity,\u201d Abbott said. \u201cTogether, we\u2019ll secure the future of Texas and protect the individual liberties we all cherish.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Abbott called Democratic Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O\u2019Rourke\u2019s immigration plan \u201ctoo extreme\u201d in a January <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gregabbott.com\/beto-orourke-extreme-illegal-immigration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">statement<\/a> highlighting the Democratic candidate\u2019s views on eliminating immigration detention, supplying illegal immigrants with state driver\u2019s licenses, and opposing Trump\u2019s \u201cRemain In Mexico\u201d policy for asylum seekers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think when you look at the results from the Republican primary, there was a huge stamp of approval for the work that Gov.
