(Drew Angerer\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cIt is a bedrock principle of the American Republic that justices should not substitute their policy beliefs for the policy beliefs of America\u2019s properly elected Congresses and presidents,\u201d Brooks said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Republicans must use every tool available to fight and stop this nomination<\/strong>. I call on my Republican colleagues in the Senate to block this nomination by holding up any vote until a constitutional jurist is nominated. [Emphasis added]\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Brooks said that as a Senator, he \u201cwill only nominate and vote for great judges like Justice Gorsuch, Justice Kavanaugh, and Justice Amy Coney Barrett.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI will also fight to hold up votes on any nominees that will do further damage to America,\u201d Brooks said. \u201cNobody will fight liberal activist judges like I will. I\u2019ll be the left\u2019s worst nightmare.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News reported, Jackson has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/25\/biden-supreme-court-nominee-ketanji-brown-jackson-and-paul-ryan-are-family\/\">praised<\/a> by former House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI). Jackson and Ryan are family, connected by marriage.\u00a0Jackson\u2019s husband, Patrick Jackson, is the twin brother of Ryan\u2019s brother-in-law William Jackson.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, Jackson has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/25\/gun-control-groups-applaud-bidens-nomination-ketanji-brown-jackson\/\">received<\/a> applause from gun control organizations.<\/p>\n<p>In a couple of federal immigration cases, Jackson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/25\/bidens-scotus-nominee-helped-strike-down-trumps-border-controls\/\">ruled against<\/a> former President Trump\u2019s border controls to reduce asylum fraud and more quickly return illegal aliens to their native countries.\u00a0Jackson has also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/28\/joe-biden-scotus-nominee-refuses-illegal-alien-noncitizen\/\">refused to use<\/a> the terms \u201calien\u201d and \u201cillegal alien\u201d in her rulings, instead opting for \u201cnoncitizen\u201d and \u201cundocumented noncitizen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While announcing Jackson\u2019s nomination, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/25\/joe-biden-i-nominated-ketanji-brown-jackson-because-our-courts-dont-look-like-america\/\">Biden suggested<\/a> that he came to the decision by concluding that U.S. federal courts \u201chaven\u2019t looked like America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>John Binder is a reporter for Breitbart News.
