The footage has nothing to do with current events.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Fact Check:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Russian forces launched an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/02\/24\/world\/europe\/why-russia-attacked-ukraine.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">invasion<\/a> of Ukraine Feb. 24 shortly after Putin announced a \u201cspecial military operation\u201d in the country, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/02\/23\/world\/europe\/ukraine-russia-invasion.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The New York Times<\/a>. Fighting between the two nations has now entered its sixth day, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/en\/live-news\/20220301-russia-s-war-on-ukraine-day-six-situation-on-the-ground\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">France 24<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>A video shared on Facebook claims to show the Russian president forgoing a motorcade to walk home after a Feb. 27 press conference amid the conflict. The video shows his security detail following close behind. \u201cPutin snubs his presidential motorcade to walk home after a press briefing early today,\u201d reads the Feb. 27 post\u2019s caption.<\/p>\n<p>The video predates the current war in Ukraine by more than eight years.
