She went on to say that there were international bodies in place to determine what constituted a war crime and how other nations should proceed, adding that in this case, the United States would want to be a part of the decision-making process going forward.<\/p>\n<p>Heinrich went on to ask Psaki about aid headed to Ukraine, asking why it did not include stinger missiles \u2014 which were specifically requested by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky \u2014 and why it was going to take a few days to get where it was needed.<\/p>\n<p>Psaki brushed off the first question, saying that she was \u201cnot going to get into specifics\u201d regarding what was or was not included in the military aid packages en route to Ukraine.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JacquiHeinrich?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@JacquiHeinrich<\/a>: &#8220;You mentioned that this next batch [of aid] is going to be coming in the next few days. I mean, days doesn\u2019t sound like a long time to us, but\u2026\u201d Heinrich pressed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe package that we already announced continues to be delivered,\u201d Psaki replied, adding that the timeline had been expedited in order to ensure the aid arrived where it was needed in a timely manner.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to aid, Zelensky has requested help from the United States and other allies in creating and maintaining a \u201cno-fly zone\u201d over Ukrainian airspace \u2014 a move he said would allow Ukraine to repel Russian forces without as much bloodshed.<\/p>\n<p>But as The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/psaki-nixes-u-s-help-to-create-no-fly-zone-over-ukraine-that-is-definitely-escalatory\/\">reported<\/a>, the Biden administration has ruled that out as too much of an escalation:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Psaki spoke with NBC White House correspondents Peter Alexander and Kristin Welker early on Monday, and she argued that American assistance in such an endeavor would amount to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/what-sanction-is-going-to-stop-them-peter-doocy-hammers-psaki-on-response-to-putin\/\">American military involvement<\/a> \u2014 which President Joe Biden has already said is off the table \u2014 and as such, would be an undeniable escalation of hostilities between the United States and Russia.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWhat that would require is implementation by the U.S. military. It would essentially mean the U.S. military would be shooting down planes, Russian planes. That is definitely escalatory.
