Now, if someone continues to send violating messages, we\u2019ll disable their account. We\u2019ll also disable new accounts created to get around our messaging restrictions, and will continue to disable accounts we find that are created purely to send abusive messages.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Instagram noted that they\u2019ve teamed up with law enforcement: \u201cWe\u2019re also committed to cooperation with UK law enforcement authorities on hate speech and will respond to valid legal requests for information in these cases,\u201d the platform boasted. \u201cAs we do with all requests from law enforcement, we\u2019ll push back if they\u2019re too broad, inconsistent with human rights, or not legally valid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In January, the head of Instagram Adam Mosseri said Facebook, which owns Instagram, has a bias, replying to a tweet about the massive platform, \u201cWe\u2019re not neutral.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re not neutral,\u201d Mosseri admitted. \u201cNo platform is neutral, we all have values and those values influence the decisions we make.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe try and be apolitical,\u201d he added, \u201cbut that\u2019s increasingly difficult, particularly in the US where people are more and more polarized.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mosseri\u2019s comments came on the heels of the apparently coordinated censorship of President Donald Trump from Twitter, Facebook, and then YouTube.
