Circuit, she is one of our nation\u2019s brightest legal minds and will be an exceptional Justice.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iePvhz1YaA\">https:\/\/t.co\/iePvhz1YaA<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Nzqv2AtN8h\">pic.twitter.com\/Nzqv2AtN8h<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 President Biden (@POTUS) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS\/status\/1497225829566324741?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 25, 2022<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/25\/joe-biden-ketanji-brown-jackson-supreme-court-nominee\/\">Jackson<\/a>, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/individual-contributions\/?contributor_name=ketanji+brown+jackson&#038;contributor_name=ketanji+jackson&#038;contributor_zip=20814\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">donated<\/a> to and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.judiciary.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/Jackson-Senate-Questionnaire-Public-WD.pdf#page=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">worked<\/a> with former President Barack Obama\u2019s presidential campaign, has a record of rulings that seemingly favor Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>In a 2015 ruling, for example, she declined to force former <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/18\/lock-her-up-chants-protesters-hillary-clinton-new-york-city-twitter\/\">Hillary Clinton<\/a> aide Philipe Reines to explain why he used a private account for work-related emails, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/blogs\/under-the-radar\/2015\/12\/hillary-clinton-phillip-reines-emails-judge-denies-gawker-request-216647\">according<\/a> to Politico.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nilc.org\/2022\/02\/18\/nilc-analysis-potential-supreme-court-nominees-immigration\/\">refuses<\/a> to refer to illegal immigrants to the U.S. as \u201caliens\u201d or \u201cillegals,\u201d also blocked the Trump administration\u2019s \u201cexpedited removal\u201d plan for deporting illegal immigrants in 2019, Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2019\/09\/28\/judge-blocks-trump-fast-track-deportations-007717\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As a District Court judge, Jackson made numerous decisions that were reversed by the left-leaning D.C. Circuit appellate court, Judicial Crisis Network president Carrie Severino <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/biden-supreme-court-frontrunner-ketanji-brown-jackson-faces-scrutiny-over-string-of-overturned-decisions\">told<\/a> Fox News in early February.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor example, in Make the Road New York v. Wolf, a D.C. Circuit panel composed of a majority of Democratic nominees concluded that Jackson had set aside a Trump administration rule where there was no legal basis to do so,\u201d Severino told Fox News. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/22\/supreme-court-303-creative-lgbt-causes-religious-freedom\/\">(RELATED: Supreme Court To Hear Case Of Woman Forced To Create Websites For LGBT Causes Against Religious Beliefs)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In another case, Jackson\u2019s decision to strike down former President Donald Trump\u2019s executive orders that made it easier to fire federal employees was unanimously rejected by a federal court in 2019, The New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/07\/16\/business\/economy\/union-labor-trump-court.html\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCases like these suggest that Jackson might be willing in politically charged cases to ignore the law to deliver a particular policy outcome, and that\u2019s not what we want to see from a Supreme Court justice,\u201d Severino told Fox News. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/23\/hawley-supreme-court-nominations-battle-democracy\/\">(RELATED: Supreme Court Nominations And The Battle For Our Democracy)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jackson also worked as a lawyer for multiple terror suspects detained at Guantanamo Bay, including a Taliban officer, <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/courts\/supreme-court-frontrunner-was-a-zealous-advocate-for-terror-suspects\/\">according<\/a> to The Washington Free Beacon.<\/p>\n<p>The Republican National Committee <a href=\"https:\/\/gop.com\/research\/meet-ketanji-brown-jackson-rsr\/\">said<\/a> Friday that Jackson\u2019s membership on the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/02\/25\/students-for-fair-admissions-harvard-lawsuit-supreme-court-ban-race-college-admissions\/\">Harvard University<\/a> Board of Overseers could pose a conflict of interest for ruling on a major upcoming affirmative action case involving the university.<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
