Ron DeSantis said he will send illegal immigrants to President Joe Biden\u2019s home state of Delaware at Thursday\u2019s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince I became governor, we banned sanctuary cities in the state of Florida,\u201d DeSantis began. \u201cAnd we are in the process of getting money from the state legislature so that if Biden is dumping illegal aliens into Florida from the southern border, I\u2019m rerouting them to Delaware.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The crowd stood and erupted in cheer at his statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will in D.C. and Hollywood as well,\u201d the governor continued.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">GOV. DESANTIS: \u201cWe are in the process of getting money from the legislature so that if Joe Biden is dumping illegal aliens in Florida, I\u2019m re-routing them to Delaware\u2026 we\u2019ll do some in DC and Hollywood as well.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/CPAC?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#CPAC<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YaBp26T8hG\">pic.twitter.com\/YaBp26T8hG<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Greg Price (@greg_price11) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/greg_price11\/status\/1496920230131556353?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 24, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/10\/florida-ron-desantis-illegal-immigrants-joe-biden-jen-psaki\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DeSantis<\/a> previously made similar remarks at a Nov. 10 press conference responding to the Biden administration reportedly flying more than 70-night time flights into Jacksonville carrying illegal immigrants, the Washington Examiner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/immigration\/biden-sent-70-secret-night-flights-of-migrants-from-border-to-florida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>. Migrants, mostly Haitians, were spotted <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/19\/biden-admin-new-york-texas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">boarding planes<\/a> to Florida, New York, and Maryland at a Texas airport and entered buses all under the presence of law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>White House press secretary <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/19\/psaki-doocy-biden-migrants-new-york-florida\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jen Psaki<\/a> previously said that it \u201cshould be no surprise\u201d that the administration is flying migrants to Florida and New York. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/28\/ron-desantis-florida-executive-order-transporting-illegal-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: DeSantis Prohibits Florida Agencies From Assisting Biden Admin In Transporting Migrants)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The governor issued an executive order in September to prohibit Florida agencies from assisting the administration in transporting illegal immigrants. He also announced his plan to sue Biden for its \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/justiceforimmigrants.org\/what-we-are-working-on\/immigrant-detention\/catch-and-release-frequently-asked-questions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">catch and release<\/a>\u201d program, a process where certain immigrants are apprehended and released from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to await their pending court hearings.<\/p>\n<p>The governor signed <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/06\/14\/ron-desantis-anti-sanctuary-bill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">anti-sanctuary<\/a> city legislation into law in June 2019 that prohibits cities from adopting \u201csanctuary\u201d policies and requires local governments to cooperate with Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) agents.<\/p>\n<p>The City of Miami and activist groups <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/07\/17\/desantis-sanctuary-city-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sued<\/a> DeSantis in July 2019 for banning sanctuary cities. The groups, including The Southern Poverty Law Center and the Florida Immigration Coalition, filed the suit on the grounds of alleged racial profiling and decreased trust in law enforcement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A crowd erupted when Republican Florida Gov.
