Both chambers of the Pennsylvania legislature are controlled by Republicans. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court is controlled by justices regarded as partisan Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>Democrat\u00a0\u201clawfare\u201d\u00a0lawyer, Marc Elias, who has been credited with thwarting Republicans in multiple 2020 election battles throughout the nation celebrated the\u00a0court\u2019s decision\u00a0as \u201cfair.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPennsylvania Supreme Court ADOPTS new congressional map. But like so many Democrat-controlled states, Pennsylvania lost one district in the 2020 census.<\/p>\n<p>The map combines two Republican districts of Reps. Fred Keller and Rep. G.T. Thompson, while leaving Democrat Rep. Matt Cartwright and establishment Republican Rep. Dan Meuser intact.<\/p>\n<p>The far-left court ruling <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacourts.us\/Storage\/media\/pdfs\/20220223\/154659-feb.23,2022-7mm2022-percuriamorder(adoptionofcongressionalredistrictingmapfinalforfiling).pdf\">urged<\/a> the state\u2019s lawmakers to immediately implement the Democrat map.\u00a0\u201cThird, Respondent Secretary of the Commonwealth shall, without delay, following the preparation of the textual description of the Carter Plan, publish notice of the Congressional Districts in the Pennsylvania Bulletin,\u201d the court ruling read.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">NEWS: In a 4-3 decision, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has picked the Carter plan as the commonwealth&#8217;s new congressional map. But Democrats hold the majority on the state\u2019s supreme court.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Nationwide, Democrats are\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/nymag.com\/intelligencer\/2021\/12\/democrats-are-doing-weirdly-well-in-redistricting.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">doing<\/a>\u00a0\u201cweirdly well\u201d in nationwide redistricting battles, according to\u00a0<em>New York Magazine<\/em>. Democrats have curtailed the GOP\u2019s overall 2022 midterm momentum in Maryland, New York, California, Oregon, New Jersey, and Illinois.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[A]ccording to\u00a0at least one analyst, there is actually an outside chance that the final map will be tilted, ever so slightly, in the\u00a0<em>Democrats\u2019<\/em>\u00a0favor,\u201d\u00a0the publication reported at the end of December.<\/p>\n<p>House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) controls the U.S. House by a margin of about five seats.<\/p>\n<p>The case is\u00a0<i>Carter v.
