There will be no learning curve for Jackson; she knows the law, has adjudicated it well and is battle-tested.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Crump continued, stating the importance of race in the pick, writing, \u201cMy standards for this nominee go beyond integrity, brilliance and fairness.\u00a0I carry the additional purchase that this justice must represent African Americans in a way that has cultural competency, forcefulness and instills deep pride.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">He discussed other justices, noting, \u201cJustice Sotomayor clearly inspires and provides vision to America\u2019s Hispanic community. Justices O\u2019Connor and Ginsburg are heroes for women across the ideological spectrum. We African Americans eagerly await and demand that model: a talented African American woman who not only acts justly and upholds our Constitution but is rooted in an experience that so many of us share.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThat person is Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Crump discussed how he knows Jackson because they taught and mentored alongside one another. They also taught a seminar at Harvard\u2019s Trial Advocacy Workshop twice. He also wrote about her career and family history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">He thanked \u201cBiden and Harris for this important decision, and Rep.\u00a0Jim Clyburn\u00a0(D-S.C.) and his late wife Emily for pressing the president to commit to this historic move.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">However, as The Hill <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/blog-briefing-room\/news\/595501-ben-crump-calls-on-biden-to-pick-jackson-as-supreme-court\"><span class=\"s1\">pointed<\/span><\/a> out, Clyburn has pushed for South Carolina federal district court Judge J. Michelle Childs for the selection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Crump concluded, \u201cFor the combination of brilliance, integrity, experience and assurance that African Americans will hold this choice as we do the memory of Thurgood Marshall and Constance Baker Motley, I overwhelmingly support the historic choice of Judge Ketanji Brown\u00a0Jackson.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Crump has taken part in representing several families in high profile cases that have not only gained national attention but have been the center of widespread protests and riots across the country, including the families of Ahmaud Arbery, Trayvon Martin, Martin Lee Anderson, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">As The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/white-house-says-biden-will-announce-supreme-court-nominee-by-monday-meets-with-three-finalists\"><span class=\"s1\">reported<\/span><\/a> on Wednesday, \u201cPresident Joe Biden has interviewed three women as potential nominees to be his Supreme Court justice pick, with the White House announcing he will share his decision by Monday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Biden\u2019s three potential nominees are all black women, as he made a promise to nominate the first black woman to the Supreme Court. They include federal judges Ketanji Brown Jackson, J. Michelle Childs, and California Supreme Court Justice Leondra Kruger. The new justice will replace Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, who stated that he is planning to retire this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">NBC News reported on Tuesday that Biden \u201ccontinues to evaluate eminently qualified individuals in the mold of Justice Breyer who have the strongest records, intellect, character, and dedication to the rule of law that anyone could ask for,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/supreme-court\/biden-interviews-three-finalists-supreme-court-vacancy-deadline-looms-rcna17290?icid=canonical_related\"><span class=\"s1\">according to<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Deputy White House Press Secretary Andrew Bates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">All three potential picks are \u201cdeserving of bipartisan support,\u201d Bates added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>The Daily Wire\u2019s first original film, Shut In, has made its cinematic debut, being met with rave reviews.
