The incumbent Trudeau has faced several scandals involving allegations of illicit lobbying insufficient action in the face of a litany of Chinese human rights abuses, including against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/asia\/2021\/08\/12\/china-admits-sentences-against-canadians-punishment-arresting-huawei-executive\/\">Canadian citizens<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously, my family has historical ties with China,\u201d Justin Trudeau <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/asia\/2022\/02\/02\/red-handed-obviously-my-family-has-historical-ties-with-china-how-beijing-bought-off-the-trudeaus\/\">affirmed<\/a> in 2012, <em>Red-Handed<\/em> details, as he promoted further linking his country\u2019s economy to China.<\/p>\n<p>Long before Justin Trudeau became prime minister, however, he joined a Liberal Party youth task force in 2006. Shortly before that, the Chinese government \u2013 through the \u201cShanghai People\u2019s Publishing House\u201d \u2013 published a Chinese written language edition of <em>Two Innocents in Red China<\/em>. The book intends to tell the story of two young men using travel and adventure to discovery the glories of communism, in the style of communist killer Ernesto \u201cChe\u201d Guevara\u2019s <em>Motorcycle Diaries<\/em>. The film version of the <em>Motorcycle Diaries<\/em> became a Hollywood <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deseret.com\/2005\/6\/23\/19898304\/the-motorcycle-diaries-honored-at-award-show\">hit<\/a> about two years before China republished <em>Two Innocents in Red China<\/em>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThis travelogue of his visit to China is filled with nai\u0308vete\u0301 and revolutionary sloganeering,\u201d Schweizer writes in <em>Red-Handed<\/em>. \u201cTrudeau and He\u0301bert posed for pictures with the members of Young Pioneers, the Communist Party Youth Group rich in indoctrination, and proclaimed, \u201c\u2019it is these red-scarfed kids who in twenty years will be the New Men of a country which at that time will have a billion inhabitants.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The book effusively praises Mao Zedong, responsible for at least 50 million deaths.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIndeed, the experience of that superb strategist, Mao Tse-tung, might lead us to conclude that in a vast and heterogeneous country, the possibility of establishing socialist strongholds in certain regions is the very best thing,\u201d Trudeau and H\u00e9bert hoped.<\/p>\n<p>Schweizer notes that the book was written amid the Great Leap Forward, a communist campaign believed to be responsible for the vast majority of Mao\u2019s body count.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_19961274\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19961274\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/GettyImages-51951582.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1876\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Red Guards and students, waving copies of Chairman Mao Zedong\u2019s \u201cLittle Red Book,\u201d parade in Beijing\u2019s streets in June 1966 at the beginning of the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution. On the eve of his son Justin\u2019s rise into national politics, a Chinese government-controlled publishing house released a Chinese-language version of the book,\u201d Schweizer writes. \u201cThe book was launched at a lavish press conference in Shanghai with coauthor Jacques He\u0301bert and Alexandre Trudeau, Justin\u2019s younger brother, fielding questions from fifty Chinese journalists.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Alexandre Trudeau has since become an official Chinese government <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpac.ca\/episode?id=e4c4ff16-c79a-457b-8a84-4c7bf8608f86\">propagandist<\/a>, releasing a book copying his father\u2019s style in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The government\u2019s role in promoting the Trudeau family as Justin\u2019s career launched became the subject of controversy in China after another Chinese publisher, Yilin Press, published The Legend Continues, an alleged memoir by Justin Trudeau, following his rise to prime minister.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_19724426\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19724426\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/GettyImages-609971752.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1278\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaks at a conference of the Canada-China Business Council in Montreal on September 23, 2016, during the visit of Chinese premier Li Keqiang. (CLEMENT SABOURIN\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cCuriously, some of Trudeau\u2019s national security aides were not even aware that the rights to his memoir had been sold to Beijing, not ending out until 2021, after being contacted by the media,\u201d Schweizer documents:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI think what gets me is that this is all being sponsored by the propaganda department,\u201d said Richard McFadden, a former Trudeau advisor who also served as the head of the Canadian intelligence service.<\/p>\n<p>Trudeau\u2019s aides would later explain that all profits from the book were going to the Red Cross. But the Globe and Mail newspaper could not con rm that claim with either the publisher or the Red Cross.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Trudeau has recently faced global criticism for his invocation of the Emergency Act, a never-before-used law to subdue terrorism and violent uprisings, against the peaceful Freedom Convoy movement, which is demanding an end to all coronavirus-related civil rights abuses by the Canadian state.
