The claim originates from an opinion given by a guest on the network.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s family business, the Trump Organization, is currently the subject of a civil investigation launched by the New York State Attorney General\u2019s Office, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/business-new-york-manhattan-donald-trump-subpoenas-0aa45e4644b13f7a3ef76d9c00491298\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Associated Press<\/a>. A judge recently ordered that Trump and two of his children must answer questions about the business under oath within 21 days of the order, though the ruling is likely to be appealed, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>Now, a video being shared on Facebook claims CNN reported that Trump is facing arrest. \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/watch\/live\/?ref=watch_permalink&#038;v=445276707284628\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN Confirms Trump WILL be ARRESTED<\/a>,\u201d reads the title of the video, which has been viewed over 30,000 times. In the video, which can also be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qFu8UQAEvBE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YouTube,<\/a> Canadian YouTuber <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/christoaivalis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Christo Aivalis<\/a> commentates on a Feb. 15 conversation that aired on CNN\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/shows\/new-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New Day<\/a>\u201d between host John Berman and David Cay Johnston, author of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Big-Cheat-Fleeced-America-Enriched\/dp\/1982178035\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Big Cheat: How Donald Trump Fleeced America and Enriched Himself and His Family<\/a>,\u201d regarding Trump\u2019s recent legal troubles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDonald Trump will be indicted on a state racketeering charge, I\u2019m confident of that,\u201d Johnston <a href=\"https:\/\/transcripts.cnn.com\/show\/nday\/date\/2022-02-15\/segment\/03\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">says<\/a> at one point during the interview, adding that Trump could also face charges in Georgia for his alleged interference with vote counting in the state. These claims from Johnston appear to be the basis of the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/watch\/live\/?ref=watch_permalink&#038;v=445276707284628\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN Confirms Trump WILL be ARRESTED<\/a>\u201d claim in the video\u2019s title.<\/p>\n<p>Johnston\u2019s claims, however, are merely his own opinion. They do not represent a report from CNN or something that CNN endorsed or confirmed. A review of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=65vwDNLPQSM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">clip<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/transcripts.cnn.com\/show\/nday\/date\/2022-02-15\/segment\/03\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">transcript<\/a> of Johnston\u2019s interview with Berman reveals that he did not offer any specific source for his claims that Trump will soon face criminal charges. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/02\/14\/fact-check-ottawa-police-covid-vaccine-exemption\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Is The Ottawa Police Force Exempt From The COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Check Your Fact reviewed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/search?q=trump+arrested\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN\u2019s website<\/a> and did not find any articles reporting that Trump would be arrested.
