Despite the story\u2019s shock value, corporate media can\u2019t be bothered to do much reporting on the story \u2014 and we all know exactly why.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Brown\u2019s history as a BLM activist and his flirtation with black nationalism on social media, most media outlets have shrugged off his motive for the shooting with a \u201cwho knows?\u201d or even tried to pin it on Republicans. Brown was also a vocal gun-control advocate and was <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/02\/16\/activist-who-shot-at-mayoral-hopeful-called-for-gun-control-in-2018\/\">interviewed<\/a> by Joy Reid on MSNBC at an anti-gun march in 2018.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"O4eYxSVXP6KQ9UT50Ly8GAjo1v7gJrWIcR2\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Quintez Brown (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tez4liberation?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@tez4liberation<\/a>) has been charged w\/attempted murder &amp; 4 counts of wanton endangerment after allegedly trying to assassinate a Louisville mayor candidate. Brown is a well-known <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BLM?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BLM<\/a> activist &amp; his Twitter account is filled with far-left &amp; black nationalist content. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/WR5emWL4cE\">pic.twitter.com\/WR5emWL4cE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Andy Ng\u00f4 \ud83c\udff3\ufe0f\u200d\ud83c\udf08 (@MrAndyNgo) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MrAndyNgo\/status\/1493615867808174084?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 15, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The Las Vegas Sun completely whitewashed Brown\u2019s far-left associations, asininely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/las-vegas-sun-hlm-activist-charged-shooting-mayoral-candidate-ties-extremist-republicans\">writing<\/a> that \u201cWhile there\u2019s been no indication yet that the activist had ties to any right-wing organizations, the shooting comes amid a rise in threats against politicians fueled by increasingly violent rhetoric coming from extremist Republicans.\u201d After backlash, the Sun <a href=\"https:\/\/lasvegassun.com\/news\/2022\/feb\/16\/escalating-hateful-rhetoric-leads-nation-down-a-da\/\">tweaked<\/a> the sentence to admit, \u201c[I]t\u2019s been reported that the activist was involved in the Black Lives Matter and gun-safety movements\u201d \u2014 but still followed the line with the original sentence in its entirety rather than issuing a correction.<\/p>\n<p>ABC simply called Brown a \u201csocial justice activist,\u201d and after the local BLM chapter helped bail him out, David Muir vaguely referred to the group as a \u201ccommunity organization.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"98leqxmwCiG10spjfzRS5nYKbN\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">ABC downplays affiliations of attempted assassination Quintez Brown. They call him a &#8220;social justice activist&#8221; and fail to note that it was the local Black Lives Matter group that raised the money to get him out. Anchor David Muir called them just a &#8220;community organization.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/mBTc7zAeHJ\">pic.twitter.com\/mBTc7zAeHJ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NickFondacaro\/status\/1494462999578431490?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 18, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The New York Times wrote one single <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/02\/14\/us\/louisville-mayoral-candidate-craig-greenberg-shooting.html\">article<\/a> on the shooting, as of Friday morning, but nowhere is any language of assassination. In contrast, federal prosecutors freely slandered the rioters on Jan. 6, 2021, as planning to assassinate officials, a claim corporate media happily parroted until the feds <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/politics\/story\/2021-01-15\/capitol-rioters-meant-to-capture-and-assassinate-officials-federal-prosecutors-say\">walked<\/a> it back from lack of evidence.<\/p>\n<p>The Washington Post also deigned to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/nation\/2022\/02\/15\/craig-greenberg-louisville-shooting-campaign-office\/\">publish<\/a> only one write-up on the Louisville incident, likewise avoiding any language of assassination and merely referring to Brown\u2019s checkered activist past as having \u201cpreviously worked with violence prevention groups\u201d and \u201cparticipated in racial justice protests in 2020.\u201d Neither paper referred to Brown\u2019s alleged crime as any sort of terrorism, even though the left has liberally doused Republicans, down to parents at school board meetings, with the incendiary term.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s easy to imagine how outraged the headlines would be if the shooter were a Republican. \u201cTrumpist White Supremacist Domestic Terrorist Assassination Attempt Shows Dangers of Republican Rhetoric, Need for DOJ Hate Crimes Investigation\u201d would be splattered across every page (shoot, the Las Vegas Sun is practically writing that anyway!). When a troubled high schooler tragically shot and killed classmates at his school in Michigan, news outlets were quick to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/news\/national\/ny-gun-rights-school-shooter-mother-trump-20211202-5viflzqdcveu7ck2fdacujqlnu-story.html\">dig up<\/a> his mom\u2019s pro-Trump blog posts.<\/p>\n<p>But in Brown\u2019s case, even though we know his history as a BLM and gun-control activist, the corporate press is signaling that his motive is either unknown or just not all that relevant (when they mention the story at all). And it\u2019s not the first time leftist outlets have memory-holed a sensationally horrifying story because the attacker\u2019s motive or background was politically inconvenient.<\/p>\n<p>Just two months ago, when a radical who had repeatedly <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/11\/24\/suspect-charged-in-waukesha-tragedy-called-for-violence-against-white-people\/\">called<\/a> for violence against white people drove his truck through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wis., killing six people, the press corps quickly <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/11\/29\/as-more-victims-fight-for-their-lives-did-corporate-media-already-forget-the-waukesha-murders\/\">downplayed or buried<\/a> not just the suspect\u2019s problematic past but the story itself. Many blamed it on the \u201ccar\u201d while MSNBC analyst Clint Watts went so far as to call the attack an \u201caccident.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In April 2021, when Noah Green \u2014 a devout follower of Louis Farrakhan\u2019s antisemitic, black nationalist group, the Nation of Islam \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/04\/08\/the-truth-about-nation-of-islam-sure-complicates-that-capitol-attack-corporate-media-would-like-to-forget\/\">rammed<\/a> into barriers at the U.S. Capitol armed with a knife and murdered Capitol Police officer Billy Evans, the media cabal couldn\u2019t be bothered either. \u201cGreen\u2019s motives are not entirely clear,\u201d The Hill said. \u201cThe suspect\u2019s motive isn\u2019t known, but he posted on social media about his struggles during the pandemic,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/live\/2021\/04\/02\/us\/us-capitol-police-attack\">wrote<\/a> The New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>Although Green murdered a Capitol Police officer \u2014 unlike anyone on Jan. 6 \u2014 his act was quickly scuttled by media while the events of Jan. 6 were hysterically broadcast as acts of terrorism and insurrection. Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker even <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/01\/06\/mass-gov-blames-trump-for-black-nationalist-murder-of-capitol-policeman-killed-last-april\/\">issued<\/a> a commemorative statement on the one-year anniversary of Jan. 6 mistakenly blaming Trump supporters for Evans\u2019 death.<\/p>\n<p>And when Bernie bro James Hodgkinson shot up a baseball game of Republican congressmen in 2017, corporate media either <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/08\/19\/the-media-wanted-both-sides-to-take-blame-for-james-hodgkinson-will-they-do-the-same-with-ray-roseberry\/\">blamed<\/a> Trump or insisted we all share some of the blame. Even though Hodgkinson was part of Facebook groups like \u201cTerminate the Republican Party\u201d and had written \u201cIt\u2019s Time to Destroy Trump &amp; Co\u201d on his own page, talking heads concluded that his violence was incited not by their own anti-Trump vitriol but \u201cleaders and political commentators who set an example\u201d that \u201cled us into an abyss of violent rhetoric.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny debate about civility in politics begins with Trump,\u201d was New York Times political reporter Glenn Thrush\u2019s very bad take.<\/p>\n<p>After a neighbor assaulted Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul in 2018 while he was mowing his lawn, breaking five ribs and forcing the senator to undergo surgery to remove part of his lung, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GeorgeTakei\/status\/1278125559969730560?s=20&amp;t=7aVHzvKGX_63JuW_m2LwRA\">blue checkmarks<\/a> on Twitter flippantly <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dcbigjohn\/status\/1440741269022527500?s=20&amp;t=7aVHzvKGX_63JuW_m2LwRA\">cheered<\/a> the attempt, with Nancy Pelosi\u2019s daughter going so far as the say the assailant was \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/nancy-pelosis-daughter-rand-pauls-neighbor-was-right\">right<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Not only are leftists\u2019 double standards apparent in the reality-defying theatrics they\u2019re pulling to escape association with the Louisville would-be assassin, they are also visible in the efforts to post bail for the shooter. <\/p>\n<p>When donors tried to crowdsource funds to post the outrageously high $2 million bail set for Kyle Rittenhouse, a teenager who has since been acquitted of all charges after shooting multiple people in self-defense, leftist platform GoFundMe <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/11\/19\/gofundme-denied-rittenhouse-fundraising-while-crowdsourcing-funds-for-blm-rioters\/\">shut down<\/a> the fundraising campaigns. GoFundMe also neutralized the fundraising campaign for Canadian truckers protesting their government\u2019s Covid mandates, and after the group\u2019s efforts to fundraise on another platform were hacked, media gleefully <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/02\/16\/twitter-allows-actual-hacked-doxxing-of-freedom-convoy-donors-after-censoring-hunter-biden-reporting\/\">doxxed and shamed<\/a> private donors whose information was posted online.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"ne1dWCzslwthVbxDSp42PuRqOVFovP9yCM4LYuXnWrmG28ATYR6lyJFJamqcE0rjI59sM\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It is SO STRANGE that supporters of a bunch of truckers in Ottawa get doxxed by the newspaper while supporters of an alleged attempted murderer in Louisville get columns.
