Whether it is a recognition of professional qualifications, increased uptake of state-level procurement contacts, or closer ties between key sectors \u2013 we are exploring ways to help businesses take full advantage of these opportunities, benefitting communities across the UK and the U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Though tariff policy is set by the President, states are empowered to make deals with foreign nations in non-tariff areas, including the service industry, which is a key British exporter to the United States, comprising around 64 per cent of British exports to America \u2014 worth about&nbsp;\u00a383.7 billion.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">UK Joining the US-Canada-Mexico Trade Agreement Shot Down as Biden Snubs Post-Brexit Deal <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/eI52jG0GgK\">https:\/\/t.co\/eI52jG0GgK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1440965158566760448?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 23, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>During his first White House meeting with President Biden, Prime Minister Boris Johnson was told that the Democrat administration would not commit to signing a post-Brexit trade deal with Britain before the 2024 election.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Biden reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/joe-biden-has-a-lot-of-fish-to-fry-boris-johnson-plays-down-prospect-of-us-uk-trade-deal-breakthrough-12413356\">told<\/a> Johson that he had \u201ca lot of fish to fry\u201d and therefore a trade deal was not a top priority.<\/p>\n<p>The prospect of an American trade deal was a key pillar of the economic plan once Britain gained economic independence from the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>Former President Trump long expressed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2020\/01\/21\/trump-at-davos-looking-forward-to-tremendous-new-deal-with-the-uk\/\">desire<\/a> for a large deal to be signed but, as previously mentioned, this failed to materialise after Tory governments repeatedly delayed the official break with the EU until Trump left office.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>In stark contrast to Trump, Biden has consistently&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2016\/06\/24\/vice-president-joe-biden-brexit-preferred-different-outcome\/\">opposed<\/a>&nbsp;Brexit, much like his old boss, former president Barack Obama, who infamously weighed in before the Brexit referendum to warn Britons that they would be put to the \u201cback of the queue\u201d should they vote to Leave the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>Also of concern has been Biden\u2019s apparent anti-British sentiments, seemingly linked to his much-touted Irish ancestry. The Democrat has previously&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2020\/09\/10\/joe-biden-campaign-democrats-slam-britains-brexit-strategy-threatens-u-s-uk-trade-deal\/\">warned<\/a> that should the United Kingdom\u2019s dispute with the EU over Britain\u2019s rightful sovereignty over Northern Ireland jeopardise the Good Friday peace agreement, then trade with America would suffer.<\/p>\n<p>President Biden did not have such strong words for the EU when it attempted to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2021\/01\/30\/eu-imposes-hard-border-on-northern-ireland-to-seize-vaccines-then-backs-down\/\">impose a border<\/a> between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland in order to halt vaccine shipments to the United Kingdom, however.<\/p>\n<p>Brexit\u2019s Nigel Farage previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2020\/11\/01\/biden-to-abandon-special-relationship-with-uk-and-announce-declaration-of-support-for-eu-report\/\">said<\/a> that Biden&nbsp;\u201cis keener on the relationship with Ireland than he is with us, sees Brexit as a mistake and I do not see any prospect of a free trade deal with the USA under President Joe Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Bad Start: Anti-Brexit Biden Declines Comment to British Media \u2013 &#8216;The BBC?
