It alleges that Facebook made&nbsp; \u201cmaterial misrepresentations and omissions in statements to investors\u201d about its efforts to combat misinformation on the platform. The complaints add to Haugen\u2019s previous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2021\/10\/05\/far-left-facebook-whistleblower-frances-haugen-working-with-trump-impeachment-lawyers\/\">testimony before Congress<\/a> and filing submitted by her lawyers to the financial regulator last year.<\/p>\n<p>One complaint claims that Facebook allowed climate change \u201cmisinformation\u201d across its platform and that the company had no clear policy on the issue up until as recently as last year. This was despite public promises by Facebook executives to fight the \u201cglobal crisis\u201d of climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Another complaint claims that while Facebook executives were publicly promoting their efforts to remove coronavirus \u201cmisinformation\u201d from the platform, internal documents \u201cpaint a different story.\u201d The complaint notes that internal company communications discussing the spread of vaccine hesitancy in comments and internal surveys showed that covid \u201cmisinformation\u201d was spreading freely across the platform.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>One complaint states:&nbsp;\u201cSome investors simply will not want to invest in a company that fails to adequately address such misinformation and then engages in misstatements and omissions on the topic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Haugen\u2019s campaign against Facebook is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2021\/10\/22\/facebook-whistleblower-frances-haugen-backed-by-leftist-billionaire-pierre-omidyar\/\">backed<\/a> by leftist billionaire Pierre Omidyar. As documented by Breitbart News, Haugen holds extreme views on the topic of censorship.<\/p>\n<p>Breitbart News senior technology report Allum Bokhari <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2021\/10\/04\/bokhari-this-facebook-whistleblower-wants-more-censorship-not-less\/\">wrote<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Haugen was part of Facebook\u2019s infamous \u201cCivic Integrity\u201d group, the unit charged with watching over (i.e, interfering) in the last presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>Haugen left because she&nbsp;<em>didn\u2019t think it went far enough.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Despite its vast apparatus of censorship, the politically biased \u201cfact checking\u201d apparatus, the bans of prominent conservative influencers, the ban of&nbsp;Donald Trump himself<em>,&nbsp;<\/em>Haugen thinks the platform isn\u2019t taking down enough \u201cdangerous\u201d content.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Read more at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/technology\/2022\/02\/18\/whistleblower-facebook-sec-climate-change\/\"><em>Washington Post<\/em> here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><i>Lucas Nolan is a reporter for Breitbart News covering issues of free speech and online censorship.
