Malone did not have kind words for the tech billionaire and suggested that Gates was not the brains behind Microsoft\u2019s coding, but rather a cutthroat businessman who parlayed his domination of the computing industry into domination of the global health industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBill Gates was not a coder. He was not a software engineer. That\u2019s not his gift,\u201d Malone said, claiming that Gates \u201cbuilt Microsoft on the bones of IBM and everybody else.\u201d Malone went on to suggest that, rather than creating and maintaining a superior product through constant innovation, Gates cornered the computing market with anti-competitive practices because he \u201cis a monopolist\u2026.an excellent monopolist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After facing harsh anti-trust penalties for Microsoft\u2019s anti-competitive practices in the late nineties, Gates set up his eponymous foundation and began funneling billions into so-called charitable initiatives. The re-branding effort was <a href=\"https:\/\/jacobinmag.com\/2020\/04\/bill-gates-foundation-philanthropy-microsoft\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/jacobinmag.com\/2020\/04\/bill-gates-foundation-philanthropy-microsoft&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2jWMLRZKx465tRknsdWakb\">effective<\/a> and over the past 25 years, Gates became an unlikely expert in everything from viruses to vaccines \u2014 despite having no background in medicine. Indeed, Gates now dominates the global health industrial complex because, according to Malone, a \u201ctiger can\u2019t change his stripes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But even before Gates became a global health expert, before he built his foundation to rehabilitate his image, and even before the Department of Justice penalized his company for anti-competitive practices, Gates engaged with America\u2019s number one adversary.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past thirty years, the American software salesman slowly but steadily built a close relationship with the Chinese communists. The decades-long relationship began with Gates issuing favorable statements for the authoritarians in Beijing which then led to a series of investments and partnerships that have proved very lucrative for the software salesman and his companies. America\u2019s top competitor gained vast amounts of technological capabilities and intellectual property, and Gates got richer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GATES SAID CCP CENSORSHIP WAS NOT POSSIBLE BUT MICROSOFT HELPED CCP DO IT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As my colleague Peter Schweizer details in his new book, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Red-Handed-American-Elites-Helping-China\/dp\/0063061147?tag=governmacco01-20\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Red-Handed-American-Elites-Helping-China\/dp\/0063061147?tag%3Dgovernmacco01-20&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1fHMV3nS3PD2VOGpz7s0Bo\">Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win<\/a>,&nbsp;<\/em>Gates has \u201calways underestimated the repressive nature\u201d of the CCP due to his \u201ctechno-optimism.\u201d By 1995, Gates was downplaying the CCP\u2019s effort to censor the then-fledgling internet \u2014 efforts he deemed were doomed to fail unless the repressive regime planned to have soldiers looming over the <a href=\"https:\/\/cios.org\/EJCPUBLIC\/006\/2\/00625.HTML\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/cios.org\/EJCPUBLIC\/006\/2\/00625.HTML&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0jsUk5kviO9XNQnLFGixqA\">shoulders<\/a> of every internet user. China disagreed and began <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20170504085942\/http:\/www.cios.org\/EJCPUBLIC\/006\/2\/00625.html\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20170504085942\/http:\/www.cios.org\/EJCPUBLIC\/006\/2\/00625.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0FsiniEhpKnO8Z17za-zTy\">ramping<\/a> up censorship efforts shortly after Gates claimed it was not possible.<\/p>\n<p>Not only was Gates wildly wrong about China\u2019s ability to censor its population, his company actively helped China do it. By 2005, the CCP had erected its notorious \u201cGreat Firewall\u201d and Microsoft was helping them <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amnesty.org\/en\/documents\/pol30\/026\/2006\/en\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.amnesty.org\/en\/documents\/pol30\/026\/2006\/en\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2AhfyAG80sjHZkSO__WdWH\">censor<\/a> words and phrases like \u201cdemocracy,\u201d \u201chuman rights,\u201d \u201cfreedom of expression,\u201d \u201cTibet independence,\u201d and \u201cTiananmen incident,\u201d on the Microsoft blogging application called MSN Spaces. When a user typed one of the forbidden phrases in, Microsoft gave them an error message. According to Amnesty International, \u201cfollowing a request from Chinese authorities,\u201d Microsoft <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amnesty.org\/en\/documents\/pol30\/026\/2006\/en\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.amnesty.org\/en\/documents\/pol30\/026\/2006\/en\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2AhfyAG80sjHZkSO__WdWH\">banned<\/a> a Chinese journalist and critic of CCP censorship <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amnesty.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/pol300262006en.pdf\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.amnesty.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/pol300262006en.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3lZEhd698MPPR0RpHN6hEq\">Zhao Jing<\/a> in December 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Shockingly, at the same time Microsoft was helping the CCP ban journalists, Bill Gates was still <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.nytimes.com\/www.nytimes.com\/idg\/IDG_002570DE00740E18882573F50010C487.html?ref=technolog\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/archive.nytimes.com\/www.nytimes.com\/idg\/IDG_002570DE00740E18882573F50010C487.html?ref%3Dtechnolog&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0UMjNz7qpJFeD1TMhY1Mcn\">repeating<\/a> the lie that censorship was not possible. At a lecture to Stanford students in 2008, Gates <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.nytimes.com\/www.nytimes.com\/idg\/IDG_002570DE00740E18882573F50010C487.html?ref=technolog\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/archive.nytimes.com\/www.nytimes.com\/idg\/IDG_002570DE00740E18882573F50010C487.html?ref%3Dtechnolog&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0UMjNz7qpJFeD1TMhY1Mcn\">told<\/a>&nbsp;students that he did not see \u201cany risk in the world at large that someone will restrict free content flow on the internet.\u201d Gates was emphatic: \u201cYou cannot control the internet.\u201d No one accuses Bill Gates of being dumb so what was his reasoning for such an absurd statement?<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his own company\u2019s facilitation of CCP censorship, Gates pushed for Google to capitulate to the Beijing anti-free speech regime. In 2010, when news that Google was fighting against China\u2019s restrictions on search results \u2014 Gates sided with the CCP, prompting the Chinese embassy to put out a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mfa.gov.cn\/ce\/ceus\/eng\/xw\/t654165.htm\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.mfa.gov.cn\/ce\/ceus\/eng\/xw\/t654165.htm&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3xFVKWexB1I2P1DYFBYC_i\">statement<\/a> emphasizing that \u201cBill Gates bats for China.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Gates again tried to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2010\/jan\/25\/bill-gates-web-censorship-china\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2010\/jan\/25\/bill-gates-web-censorship-china&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0AY_b66NJV_lsMTnqnGgeL\">downplay<\/a> the CCP\u2019s censorship capabilities, stating \u201cChinese efforts to censor the internet have been very limited.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s easy to go around it,\u201d Gates said, without offering evidence. After years of Gates repeatedly downplaying the CCP\u2019s censorship capabilities (while actively helping to bolster them), his claim that \u201ckeeping the internet thriving [in China] is very important,\u201d felt a bit like gaslighting.<\/p>\n<p>Just last year, Microsoft was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/qj8v9m\/bing-censors-tank-man\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/qj8v9m\/bing-censors-tank-man&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3uxRLNFLmxSXUfMZiFNMdz\">accused<\/a> of censoring information about the Tiananmen Square massacre on its Bing search engine \u2014 not just in China, but also in the United States. Microsoft claimed this was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/qj8v9m\/bing-censors-tank-man\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/qj8v9m\/bing-censors-tank-man&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3uxRLNFLmxSXUfMZiFNMdz\">due to<\/a>&nbsp;\u201caccidental human error.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outsourcing American Jobs and partnering with Chinese Military on AI<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gates\u2019 CCP appeasement did not end with his work reinforcing the Great Firewall, however. He also helped offshore American jobs to China. Microsoft, like so many other tech companies in the late 1990\u2019s and early 2000\u2019s, sent hundreds of high paying jobs to China. When the government in Beijing criticized Gates for not outsourcing more American jobs, Microsoft <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seattletimes.com\/business\/microsoft-plans-to-outsource-more-says-ex-worker\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.seattletimes.com\/business\/microsoft-plans-to-outsource-more-says-ex-worker\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3rYM6ABF5kDRGAlOjQ8vFr\">promised<\/a> to redouble its efforts.<\/p>\n<p>As if helping a repressive regime stifle dissent and outsourcing American tech jobs to China were not enough, Gates also helped China gain a competitive edge in an industry with serious military implications: artificial intelligence (AI). In 2019, Microsoft&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/9378e7ee-5ae6-11e9-9dde-7aedca0a081a\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/9378e7ee-5ae6-11e9-9dde-7aedca0a081a&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3c0TJa9Lq5cvji7DGPkVQJ\">partnered<\/a> with a Chinese military-backed university to work on AI research.<\/p>\n<p>Less than five years ago, Microsoft personnel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/9378e7ee-5ae6-11e9-9dde-7aedca0a081a\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/9378e7ee-5ae6-11e9-9dde-7aedca0a081a&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3c0TJa9Lq5cvji7DGPkVQJ\">worked<\/a> with China\u2019s National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) to produce three research papers on AI. The CCP\u2019s Central Military Commission oversees NUDT projects and thus Microsoft benefits from \u201clong-running links to Chinese military-funded academia,\u201d including partnerships with various \u201cTech Clubs\u201d at multiple Chinese military-linked universities. To this day, Chinese military researchers likewise benefit from Microsoft\u2019s AI intellectual property.<\/p>\n<p>More shocking than that, Microsoft actually <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspistrategist.org.au\/the-chinese-militarys-exploitation-of-western-tech-firms\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.aspistrategist.org.au\/the-chinese-militarys-exploitation-of-western-tech-firms\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw09ryidwfk4URcac3cdRKtG\">hired<\/a>&nbsp;People\u2019s Liberation Army (PLA) recruits as interns at one of its research centers in Asia.<\/p>\n<p>Gates\u2019 company did other favors for the Chinese military as well. Microsoft allowed Chinese government officers to access the company\u2019s Skype servers to monitor the videoconferences and messages of civilians.<\/p>\n<p>Essentially, if civilians were critical of the communist regime or planning to organize a protest on Skype, Microsoft <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/bmmkyz\/skype-cant-be-stopped\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/bmmkyz\/skype-cant-be-stopped&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2iV64GC7aEC6Wq-8pYbFTV\">allowed<\/a>&nbsp;government \u201cthought police\u201d to monitor (and ostensibly interdict) this activity \u2014 an obvious human rights violation. When questioned about this egregious activity, Microsoft\u2019s Skype issued a throwaway <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/bmmkyz\/skype-cant-be-stopped\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/bmmkyz\/skype-cant-be-stopped&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2iV64GC7aEC6Wq-8pYbFTV\">statement<\/a>: \u201cSkype\u2019s mission is to break down barriers to communications and enable conversations worldwide.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It gets worse. In 2015, Microsoft expanded its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2015\/10\/30\/technology\/US-Tech-Firms-and-Their-Chinese-Partnerships.html\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2015\/10\/30\/technology\/US-Tech-Firms-and-Their-Chinese-Partnerships.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1d1Ius7xhqiDTZm5mfxN23\">ties<\/a> with the Chinese military when it announced it would be working with the CCP\u2019s state-owned military connected conglomerate, China Electronics Technology Group (CETC). Microsoft won a huge payday through the partnership with CETC to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/3016921\/microsoft-partners-with-chinese-state-owned-defense-conglomerate-to-promote-sell-windows-10-to-gove.html\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/3016921\/microsoft-partners-with-chinese-state-owned-defense-conglomerate-to-promote-sell-windows-10-to-gove.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw06ikjsYGYzqsi6nmY5y0Rc\">provide<\/a> \u201coperating system technology and services for Chinese users in specialized fields in government institutions and critical infrastructure state-owned enterprises.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CETC was the beating heart of the CCP\u2019s digital military industrial complex. CETC\u2019s labs, in Schweizer\u2019s words, \u201cdesigned the electronic guts for China\u2019s first nuclear bomb, as well as its guided missiles and satellites.\u201d <em>Computer World<\/em> and other western press outlets were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/3016921\/microsoft-partners-with-chinese-state-owned-defense-conglomerate-to-promote-sell-windows-10-to-gove.html\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/3016921\/microsoft-partners-with-chinese-state-owned-defense-conglomerate-to-promote-sell-windows-10-to-gove.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw06ikjsYGYzqsi6nmY5y0Rc\">critical<\/a> of Microsoft\u2019s move to partner with CETC given the \u201cvery blurred lines\u201d between the civilian and military missions of CETC and the fact that the company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/3016921\/microsoft-partners-with-chinese-state-owned-defense-conglomerate-to-promote-sell-windows-10-to-gove.html\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/3016921\/microsoft-partners-with-chinese-state-owned-defense-conglomerate-to-promote-sell-windows-10-to-gove.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw06ikjsYGYzqsi6nmY5y0Rc\">supplied<\/a> \u201cthe People\u2019s Liberation Army (PLA) and government agencies and state-run companies with technology products.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Microsoft-CETC deal was shady from the start. In order for the CCP\u2019s military electronics conglomerate to adopt the Microsoft platform, the latter had to make changes to its operating system (which Microsoft has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/3048752\/microsoft-wraps-up-special-windows-10-edition-for-chinas-government.html\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/3048752\/microsoft-wraps-up-special-windows-10-edition-for-chinas-government.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0oUqrICs45figCyHsBNDwR\">admitted<\/a> doing). But Microsoft has thus far refused to publicize what those \u201cchanges\u201d were.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft was not the only Gates company working to advance the CCP\u2019s military capabilities. While Microsoft helped the Chinese communist regime\u2019s <em>digital<\/em> capabilities, a company that Gates launched in 2008 called TerraPower helped <a href=\"https:\/\/centerforsecuritypolicy.org\/us-gives-china-the-advantage-in-next-generation-nuclear-technology\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/centerforsecuritypolicy.org\/us-gives-china-the-advantage-in-next-generation-nuclear-technology\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1a4CDSWVCQN1nwkGO3B3Zs\">advance<\/a> the CCP\u2019s <em>nuclear<\/em> capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>TerraPower was a \u201cnext-generation\u201d nuclear reactor company that ostensibly was only working civilian nuclear power technology. Gates\u2019 wanted TerraPower to become a major nuclear reactor company in China generating power for civilian use. But in 2011, TerraPower began a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/article\/986859\/gates-teams-china-build-nuclear-reactor\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/article\/986859\/gates-teams-china-build-nuclear-reactor&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2_1Nl_TTTrwP-XQfz0D3WV\">partnership<\/a> with yet another military-linked company: China\u2019s state-owned China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC).<\/p>\n<p>The American Nuclear Threat Initiative <a href=\"https:\/\/americanmilitarynews.com\/2020\/07\/bill-gates-nuclear-firm-collaborated-with-chinese-military-linked-company\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/americanmilitarynews.com\/2020\/07\/bill-gates-nuclear-firm-collaborated-with-chinese-military-linked-company\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2qAe2deIiXwj3cLuwJjOsJ\">blasted<\/a> CNNC for being \u201cinvolved in the development of China\u2019s nuclear energy program, both civilian and military.\u201d Indeed, the State Department has repeatedly <a href=\"https:\/\/2017-2021.state.gov\/competitive-strategy-vis-a-vis-china-the-case-study-of-civil-nuclear-cooperation\/index.html\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/2017-2021.state.gov\/competitive-strategy-vis-a-vis-china-the-case-study-of-civil-nuclear-cooperation\/index.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0U3tC__SHp96zp9Da6E3XH\">warned<\/a> that the CCP leverages \u201cits large, rapidly-growing, state-sponsored nuclear industry as a strategic tool with which to augment China\u2019s \u2018comprehensive national power\u2019\u2014both through development in the civilian sector <em>and<\/em> in support of a military buildup.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gates either did not know or did not care that his efforts might help the Chinese military gain a nuclear advantage over the U.S. His partnership CNNC came to a screeching halt during the Trump administration when \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/americanmilitarynews.com\/2020\/07\/bill-gates-nuclear-firm-collaborated-with-chinese-military-linked-company\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/americanmilitarynews.com\/2020\/07\/bill-gates-nuclear-firm-collaborated-with-chinese-military-linked-company\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2qAe2deIiXwj3cLuwJjOsJ\">policy changes<\/a>\u201d made TerraPower\u2019s relationship with CNNC untenable. The Pentagon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/defense-department-chinese-military-linked-companies-856b9315-48d2-4aec-b932-97b8f29a4d40.html\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.axios.com\/defense-department-chinese-military-linked-companies-856b9315-48d2-4aec-b932-97b8f29a4d40.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0CTv4rJEc-z-9Q3SxDZmmo\">released<\/a> a list of 20 companies tied to the CCP\u2019s People\u2019s Liberation Army and CNNC\u2019s inclusion on that list forced Gates to cut ties.<\/p>\n<p>But Gates was undeterred. \u201cThe TerraPower thing, that was a setback,\u201d Gates <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chinadaily.com.cn\/a\/201911\/23\/WS5dd88706a310cf3e35579711.html\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.chinadaily.com.cn\/a\/201911\/23\/WS5dd88706a310cf3e35579711.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2yarc1XCXX6wK6Kvix_YdL\">told<\/a> Chinese state-run media, \u201cbut there are ways to come back and engage China in a fairly deep way later in the project.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Gates\u2019 collaberation with the communist regime\u2019s military on digital and nuclear projects, he <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20191001193543\/https:\/www.globaltimes.cn\/content\/578736.shtml\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20191001193543\/https:\/www.globaltimes.cn\/content\/578736.shtml&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587000000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0GkbaKtD2MJGwT_jYzKSA8\">promoted<\/a>&nbsp; a Chinese technology company tied to the PLA. The company, Build Your Dreams (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/mclifford\/2016\/07\/20\/chinas-byd-and-koreas-samsung-can-two-battery-kings-forge-a-profitable-partnership\/?sh=28d6df613c8d\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/mclifford\/2016\/07\/20\/chinas-byd-and-koreas-samsung-can-two-battery-kings-forge-a-profitable-partnership\/?sh%3D28d6df613c8d&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587001000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3sELB-BPPrWtcLp333oFVs\">BYD<\/a>), has an innocuous name but nefarious connections. The BYD, according to an Alliance for American Manufacturing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americanmanufacturing.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/BYD.pdf\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.americanmanufacturing.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/BYD.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587001000&amp;usg=AOvVaw34EPKWTx4sgrwUQHWA1TlZ\">study<\/a>, gives the Chinese military an alarming level of access to its technology and research data.<\/p>\n<p>For example, BYD <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americanmanufacturing.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/BYD.pdf\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.americanmanufacturing.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/BYD.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587001000&amp;usg=AOvVaw34EPKWTx4sgrwUQHWA1TlZ\">boasted<\/a> of its \u201cstrategic cooperation\u201d with the China Academy of Launch Vehicle technology (CALVT) in 2018. CALVT is state owned and has the \u201clargest research and production base of missile weapons and launch vehicles in China.\u201d Shockingly (but not surprisingly), BYD\u2019s founder and CEO moonlights as a Chinese Communist Party official. These facts alone should have been enough for Bill Gates and his close friend Warren Buffet to avoid hyping the project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gates Gushes over Chinese Communist Party Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gates has long been close with CCP leadership. In 2006, when the CCP\u2019s then-Chairman Hu Jintao (Xi Jinping\u2019s predecessor) came to the U.S. for an official visit with President Bush, he first met with Bill Gates at his Seattle estate. ABC News recognized the Chinese leader\u2019s priority and ran a <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/International\/story?id=1857539&amp;page=1\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/International\/story?id%3D1857539%26page%3D1&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587001000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0QRG-rhSNDpyPgO1C-Vi5N\">headline<\/a>: \u201cChinese President Meets Bill Gates First.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More recently, Bill Gates has been <a href=\"http:\/\/en.people.cn\/n3\/2017\/0406\/c90000-9199651.html\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/en.people.cn\/n3\/2017\/0406\/c90000-9199651.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587001000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2xMutuoJIdmKsSyBNMcWNP\">complimentary<\/a> of current CCP Chairman Xi Jinping. \u201cThe area of science, where China is now leading a lot of ways and willing to invest,\u201d Gates said, before boasting to a Chinese state-run media outlet, \u201cthat\u2019s been something I discussed with President Xi.\u201d Gates was star-struck by the dictator and could not help but mention \u201cimpressed [he was] of how hard President Xi works.\u201d Gates gushed on: \u201cNow [President Xi] is involved in the committee that are looking at this problem and that problem. He\u2019s quite amazing that he\u2019s able to contribute in a number of ways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>What does all this mean? Schweizer summed it up nicely: It means that one of the richest men in the world was praising the leadership of a man who runs prison camps.<\/p>\n<p>To this day, Bill Gates <a href=\"http:\/\/en.people.cn\/n3\/2017\/1127\/c90000-9297429.html\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/en.people.cn\/n3\/2017\/1127\/c90000-9297429.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587001000&amp;usg=AOvVaw26dO7KT002kqF3hUe5BXS6\">advises<\/a> the Chinese communist regime through his \u201clifelong\u201d membership at the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE). The CAE is <a href=\"https:\/\/statecouncil.cset.tech\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/statecouncil.cset.tech\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587001000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1xtX7yEkmgqDkLaYx1qF2V\">controlled<\/a> by Beijing\u2019s top political body: the Chinese State Council (CSC). The CSC has an innocent sounding name but it is at the center of the CCP\u2019s power structure\u2014particularly the CCP\u2019s military industrial <a href=\"https:\/\/jamestown.org\/program\/civil-military-fusion-and-the-plas-pursuit-of-dominance-in-emerging-technologies\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/jamestown.org\/program\/civil-military-fusion-and-the-plas-pursuit-of-dominance-in-emerging-technologies\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1645035587001000&amp;usg=AOvVaw19kl-0trjaX1ftUyLlv0gi\">complex<\/a>. As a foreigner, Gates\u2019 induction to the CAE required \u201cstrict political clearance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Dr. Robert Malone told the Daily Wire\u2019s Candace Owens that Gates \u201chas systematically monopolized the global health response\u201d to the Wuhan coronavirus, he was right to be concerned. The deep ties that Gates has to the communist regime where the Wuhan coronavirus originated (the most devastating global disaster in modern history) are even more alarming than his monopolist proclivities.
