Computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He wrote, without adding any Disclaimer: \u201cThis secret hotline may be the key to unlocking the mystery of Trump\u2019s ties to Russia. It certainly seems the Trump Organization felt it had something to hide, given that it apparently took steps to conceal the link when it was discovered by journalists.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>He added:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>This line of communication may help explain Trump\u2019s bizarre adoration of Vladimir Putin and endorsement of so many pro-Kremlin positions throughout this campaign. It raises even more troubling questions in light of Russia\u2019s masterminding of hacking efforts that are clearly intended to hurt Hillary Clinton\u2019s campaign. We can only assume that federal authorities will now explore this direct connection between Trump and Russia as part of their existing probe into Russia\u2019s meddling in our elections.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Clinton herself tweeted out this statement, as well as another stating the claims as fact.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It&#8217;s time for Trump to answer serious questions about his ties to Russia. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/D8oSmyVAR4\">https:\/\/t.co\/D8oSmyVAR4<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/07dRyEmPjX\">pic.twitter.com\/07dRyEmPjX<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HillaryClinton\/status\/793234169576947712?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 31, 2016<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sullivan\u2019s role in pushing these claims is receiving fresh scrutiny after a recent filing by Special Counsel John Durham&nbsp;laid out allegations that a lawyer who was with the law firm representing Clinton\u2019s campaign had worked with a tech executive to gather the evidence for those claims.<\/p>\n<p>More specifically, Durham is alleging that Michael Sussmann, a former lawyer with Perkins Coie, had worked with tech executive Rodney Joffe to collect data on the Trump campaign and the White House to use as the basis of those claims.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Donald Trump Jr. recently quote-tweeted Sullivan\u2019s statement, urging journalists to ask Sullivan questions about his role in pushing these claims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBiden\u2019s current national security adviser was intimately involved in the activities for which Durham is now bringing indictments. Jake Sullivan is already a notorious partisan and if he participated in Clinton\u2019s illicit spying on President Trump, he must be removed from office and held responsible,\u201d Banks <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/marshablackburn\/status\/1493421880178577410?s=21\">told<\/a> the DailyMail.com.<\/p>\n<p>Breitbart News\u2019 Joel Pollak has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/10\/26\/white-house-press-corps-fails-to-ask-jake-sullivan-about-role-in-russia-collusion-hoax\/\">previously reported<\/a> on Sullivan\u2019s larger role in the Russia collusion hoax. Sullivan testified under oath to Congress in 2017 that he had briefed reporters about his suspicions of \u201ccollusion\u201d between Russia and the Trump campaign. He also testified that he believed&nbsp;former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn had conspired with the Russian government \u2014 claims that earlier led to Flynn\u2019s ouster. Ironically, Sullivan now holds Flynn\u2019s job.<\/p>\n<p>Durham\u2019s indictment of Sussmann in September alleged that then-Perkins Coie lawyer Marc Elias had communicated with Sullivan about the Alfa Bank allegations, which Sullivan denied during testimony. Legal scholar Jonathan Turley&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/opinion\/durham-sullivan-biden-national-security-adviser-jonathan-turley\">wrote<\/a> that it raised the possibility of perjury.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSullivan reportedly gave his series of denials to Congress in December 2017. The statute of limitations for lying to Congress is five years, which means that Sullivan still would be within range for Durham if the special counsel does not buy Sullivan\u2019s denials.
