Bloom Raskin has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lummis.senate.gov\/press-releases\/lummis-presses-fed-nominee-raskin-over-suspicious-influence-peddling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">accused<\/a> of influence peddling, and Republicans say they want to get to the bottom of those accusations before a vote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUntil basic questions have been adequately addressed, I do not think the Committee should proceed with a vote on Ms. Raskin,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.banking.senate.gov\/newsroom\/minority\/toomey-statement-on-banking-republicans-seeking-answers-on-raskins-revolving-door-use-before-committee-vote\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wrote<\/a> Republican Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey in a statement. \u201cImportant questions about Ms. Raskin\u2019s use of the \u2018revolving door\u2019 remain unanswered largely because of her repeated disingenuousness with the Committee \u2026 On 36 questions for the record, for example, Ms. Raskin claimed she either did \u2018not recall\u2019 or was \u2018unaware\u2019. Her repeated forgetfulness defies credulity.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Sarah Bloom Raskin\u2019s radical views to choke off capital to the oil-&amp;-gas industry are damning enough, but her lack of transparency requires additional scrutiny from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BankingGOP?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@BankingGOP<\/a>, not a vote.
