One individual allegedly linked to the group was arrested later and a further two firearms were seized.<\/p>\n<p>The move came as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced further restrictions on those protesting against his government\u2019s vaccine mandates and protesters count the personal cost of their involvement.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"video-src-attr\">Robert Kraychik \/ Breitbart News<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The search warrant was issued after police claimed to have become increasingly concerned about the \u201cmilitant mindset of a small segment of the protest\u201d. They justified this concern in a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MichaelRdrguez\/status\/1493281373095821312?s=20&amp;t=vDWRGZJ0m_xfuvnYG9EqGw\">statement<\/a> by alleging a truck and a tractor attempted to ram a police car on Sunday evening,&nbsp;the&nbsp;<em>National Post<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalpost.com\/news\/local-news\/mounties-arrest-11-armed-militant-protesters-at-coutts-blockade\/wcm\/7ba49c22-5886-46a6-8f11-9cb57c6b9d6f\">reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>RCMP Superintendent&nbsp;Roberta McKale alleged the individuals who had brought the weapons to the blockade \u201chad the intent (of) causing harm\u201d and police had to intervene for the \u201csafety of the public\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>An additional individual was arrested after \u201csemi-accelerating\u201d a vehicle at mounted police officers and then swerving at the last minute into some traffic cones \u2013 however, there is currently no official connection between this individual and the 12 other protestors.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_19885946\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/RCMP_seizure_Coutts.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19885946\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/RCMP_seizure_Coutts.jpg\" alt=\"Photo supplied by RCMP on Monday, Jan. 14, 2022, shows a large assortment of weapons and ammunition seized near Coutts during a crackdown near the Canada\/U.S. border.
