\/><\/div>\n<p class=\"subheading\">The number of foreign criminals deported in Ireland has collapsed under Ireland\u2019s most recent Justice Minister, who recently launched an amnesty program to \u2018regularise\u2019 illegal immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Justice Helen McEntee of the ruling Europhile Fine Gael party has seen the deportation of criminal aliens from Ireland plummet under her tenure, according to figures recently released by the Irish Department of Justice.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>According to the data, 634 criminals with EU citizenship and 1,012 who do not have been forcibly removed from the Irish state since 2012, with a notable drop-off occurring since Minister McEntee took office.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/gript.ie\/huge-drop-in-criminal-deportations-since-mcentee-took-office\/\">report<\/a> into the data published by&nbsp;Gript Media notes that the number of non-EU criminals deported under McEntee\u2019s fell dramatically when compared to previous years, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.ie\/en\/JELR\/Pages\/PQ-01-02-2022-596\">155<\/a> being deported in 2019 \u2014 the year before McEntee took office \u2014 compared to a measly five under her leadership of the department in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the publication\u2019s report notes that the vast majority of 2020\u2019s deportations also happened before McEntee took office in June, with the publication <a href=\"https:\/\/gript.ie\/huge-drop-in-criminal-deportations-since-mcentee-took-office\/\">claiming<\/a> that only four deportations took place between&nbsp;March 2020 and December 2020, with three of those deportations reportedly being as a result of orders issued before McEntee\u2019s time in office.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The Justice Minister had reportedly previously described the drop-off of deportations as a \u201cpragmatic and compassionate approach\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In Ireland, many who are issued deportation orders are often reportedly expected to \u201cself-deport\u201d after being convicted of a crime, with government officials sometimes not being able to verify whether a person has complied due to a lack of record-keeping.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen a deportation order is issued, the obligation is on the person to remove himself or herself from the State,\u201d&nbsp;Michael Kirrane&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oireachtas.ie\/en\/debates\/debate\/joint_committee_on_justice_and_equality\/2018-07-11\/3\/?highlight%5B0%5D=immigrant&amp;highlight%5B1%5D=immigration\">told<\/a> a parliament committee in his capacity as director of the Irish&nbsp;Naturalisation and Immigration Service in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany people voluntarily remove themselves,\u201d he went on to claim. \u201cWe cannot be precise about how many do because we do not have exit checks and we maintain the common travel area with our UK colleagues.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>As Ireland sees the level of deportations of foreign criminals plummet, McEntee has launched an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/02\/01\/utterly-outrageous-ireland-begins-mass-illegal-immigrant-amnesty\/\">amnesty regime<\/a> for illegal aliens residing in Ireland, which will see many residing in the country illegally put on the pathway to citizenship.<\/p>\n<p>According to the government, the scheme \u2014 which has been previously described as \u201cutterly outrageous\u201d \u2014 will even allow those with a criminal past to avail of the scheme, with officials emphasising that a criminal record will not automatically disqualify someone from availing of the amnesty.<\/p>\n<p>This is despite the scheme reportedly requiring the applicant to be of \u201cgood character\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>There is also to be no hard cap on the number of illegal migrants who can avail of the scheme, despite the fact questions have been raised suggesting that the government doesn\u2019t actually know how many illegal immigrants reside in Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, British think-tank Migration Watch has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/02\/03\/think-tank-warns-irish-illegal-alien-amnesty-will-create-back-door-uk-migrants\/\">warned<\/a> that the amnesty will open a \u201cback door to the UK\u201d by allowing many illegal aliens to gain Irish citizenship and, by extension, access to the UK through the Common Travel Area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a very serious mistake.
