The group alleges that Google\u2019s advertising platform is \u201crife with conflicts of interests\u201d as the company is acting as both buyer and seller in the same transaction while operating the actual auction platform.<\/p>\n<p>The EPC alleges that this constitutes a monopoly that is harming publishers and consumers in Europe. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2021\/06\/07\/france-fines-google-267-million-over-advertising-antitrust-abuses\/\">French competition authority fined Googled&nbsp;\u20ac220 million<\/a> in June for favoring its own services.
