The overall poll surveyed&nbsp;1,527 respondents over the age of 18 and showed a&nbsp;+\/- 3.3&nbsp;margin of error for the total of respondents.<\/p>\n<p>However, compared to previous polls conducted by CNN, the&nbsp;generic Democrat candidate received six percent less of the vote compared to the news outlet\u2019s November poll and two percent less of the vote compared to the August to September poll.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The&nbsp;generic Republican candidates have received the same 44 percent among the other two polls.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Six-point drop for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HouseDemocrats?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@HouseDemocrats<\/a> on the generic ballot in the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CNN?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CNN<\/a> poll <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/DnjttTs5Yn\">https:\/\/t.co\/DnjttTs5Yn<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/XJo044MDKe\">pic.twitter.com\/XJo044MDKe<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mike Berg (@MikeKBerg) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MikeKBerg\/status\/1492161831108030466?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 11, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier this week, the Republicans also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/midterm-election\/2022\/02\/10\/midterms-republicans-take-clear-lead-over-dems-in-poll-averages\/\">took a clear lead<\/a> over Democrats in the RealClearPolitics and the FiveThirtyEight generic congressional ballot averages less than a year before the midterms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The&nbsp;RealClearPolitics average&nbsp;showed the Republicans with a four-point lead,&nbsp;47.6 percent to&nbsp;43.6 percent.<\/li>\n<li>The&nbsp;FiveThirtyEight average showed the&nbsp;Republicans with a 1.9 percent lead,&nbsp;44.5 percent to 42.6 percent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_19835962\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\">Additionally, a&nbsp;recent poll from&nbsp;Harvard-Harris also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/01\/25\/poll-59-percent-disapprove-democrat-led-congress\/\">showed<\/a> that&nbsp;59 percent of registered voters disapprove of how the Democrat-controlled Congress is doing its job, while 30 percent&nbsp;strongly disapprove.<\/div>\n<p>The poll showed that only 30 percent of the poll respondents said they approve of how the Democrat-controlled Congress is doing its job.
