Specifically, Sullivan addressed a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nickschifrin\/status\/1492203844155150339?s=20&amp;t=-V_xmvdDP2LygDtPYYwtIg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">report<\/a> from PBS NewsHour foreign affairs and defense correspondent Nick Schifrin, which suggested the U.S. now knows whether Putin plans to invade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do not believe, or we don\u2019t know, that he [Putin] has made any final decision,\u201d Sullivan said.<\/p>\n<p>Schifrin, citing \u201cthree Western and defense officials,\u201d reported earlier Friday that the U.S. \u201cbelieves \u2026 Putin has decided to invade Ukraine.\u201d Schifrin also reported that the invasion is expected \u201cto begin next week.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/06\/jake-sullivan-human-cost-war-ukraine-russia\/\">Sullivan<\/a> denied PBS NewsHour\u2019s reporting, his comments do indicate the administration is growing increasingly concerned of a Russian invasion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t pinpoint the day and we can\u2019t pinpoint the hour, but what we can say is that there\u2019s a credible prospect that a Russian military action could take place before the end of the Olympics,\u201d Sullivan said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sullivan urged American citizens to depart from <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/06\/jake-sullivan-dismisses-concerns-china-russia-ukraine\/\">Ukraine<\/a> \u201cas soon as possible,\u201d giving the specific suggestion of fleeing within \u201ct<span id=\"subtitle99\" class=\"subtitle foundfragment selfragment\" data-id=\"99\" data-start=\"1018380\" data-end=\"1020180\">he next 24 to<\/span> 48<span id=\"subtitle100\" class=\"subtitle selfragment\" data-id=\"100\" data-start=\"1020180\" data-end=\"1022940\">&nbsp;hours.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"subtitle selfragment\" data-id=\"100\" data-start=\"1020180\" data-end=\"1022940\">The national security advisor also warned that<\/span>&nbsp;\u201c<span id=\"subtitle108\" class=\"subtitle selfragment\" data-id=\"108\" data-start=\"1042470\" data-end=\"1045775\">there\u2019s no prospect of a U.S.&nbsp;<\/span><span id=\"subtitle109\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"109\" data-start=\"1045775\" data-end=\"1048050\">military evacuation action in the<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle110\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"110\" data-start=\"1048050\" data-end=\"1050750\">event of a Russian invasion,\u201d and explained what officials believe could occur if <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/07\/emmanuel-macron-moscow-vladimir-putin-avert-war-ukraine\/\">Putin<\/a> moves forward.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"subtitle selfragment\" data-id=\"110\" data-start=\"1048050\" data-end=\"1050750\">\u201cIf a<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle111\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"111\" data-start=\"1050750\" data-end=\"1053300\">Russian attack on Ukraine proceeds, it is<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle112\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"112\" data-start=\"1053300\" data-end=\"1055340\">likely to begin with aerial bombing and<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle113\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"113\" data-start=\"1055340\" data-end=\"1058220\">missile attacks that could obviously kill civilians<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle114\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"114\" data-start=\"1058220\" data-end=\"1061250\">without regard to their nationality,\u201d Sullivan explained. \u201cA subsequent&nbsp;<\/span><span id=\"subtitle115\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"115\" data-start=\"1061250\" data-end=\"1063890\">ground invasion would involve the onslaught of<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle116\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"116\" data-start=\"1063890\" data-end=\"1067280\">a massive force, with virtually no notice<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle117\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"117\" data-start=\"1067400\" data-end=\"1069650\">communications to arrange a departure could be<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle118\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"118\" data-start=\"1069650\" data-end=\"1073490\">severed and commercial transit halted.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"118\" data-start=\"1069650\" data-end=\"1073490\">\u201cNo one<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle119\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"119\" data-start=\"1073490\" data-end=\"1075080\">would be able to count on air<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle120\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"120\" data-start=\"1075080\" data-end=\"1077540\">or rail or road departures once military<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle121\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"121\" data-start=\"1077540\" data-end=\"1080650\">action got underway,\u201d he added. \u201cNow again, I\u2019m not<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle122\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"122\" data-start=\"1080690\" data-end=\"1082400\">standing here and saying what is going<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle123\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"123\" data-start=\"1082400\" data-end=\"1083990\">to happen or not happen. I\u2019m only<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle124\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"124\" data-start=\"1083990\" data-end=\"1085970\">standing here to say that the risk<\/span> <span id=\"subtitle125\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"125\" data-start=\"1085970\" data-end=\"1087680\">is now high enough and the threat<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"subtitle126\" class=\"subtitle\" data-id=\"126\" data-start=\"1087680\" data-end=\"1090440\">is immediate enough.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Amid the growing concerns, Biden held a call with transatlantic leaders on Friday morning. The leaders of Canada, the European Union, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Romania, Britain and NATO [North Atlantic Treaty Organization] were on the call, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/news\/world\/articles\/2022-02-11\/biden-to-discuss-russian-buildup-with-transatlantic-leaders-white-house\">according<\/a> to the White House.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe leaders expressed their concern about Russia\u2019s continued build-up of military forces around Ukraine and reaffirmed their support for Ukraine\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity,\u201d according to a readout of the call. \u201cThey expressed their desire for a diplomatic solution to the crisis, and discussed recent engagements with Russia in multiple formats.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe leaders agreed on the importance of coordinated efforts to deter further Russian aggression against Ukraine, including their readiness to impose massive consequences and severe economic costs on Russia should it choose military escalation, and to continue reinforcing the defensive posture on NATO\u2019s eastern flank. They committed to continued close consultation, including working with and through NATO, the EU, the OSCE, and the UN,\u201d the readout added.<\/p>\n<p>Biden departed the White House after Friday\u2019s press briefing with White House press secretary Jen Psaki and Sullivan.
