And just having an ombudsman print a retraction isn\u2019t accountability.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong><em>Watch below:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>Among the outlets proven wrong about&nbsp;Iraq\u2019s alleged weapons of mass destruction was <em>The New York Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>The<\/em>&nbsp;<em>New York Times,&nbsp;<\/em>right, was a giant purveyor of misinformation, and disinformation,\u201d Stewart said. \u201cAnd that\u2019s as vaunted a media organization as you can find, but there was no accountability for them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stewart argued that accusations of \u201cmisinformation\u201d are highly subjective.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut my point is, these are shifting sands, and I think I get concerned with, well, who gets to decide?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2022\/02\/04\/jon-stewart-says-the-overreaction-to-joe-rogan-is-a-mistake-dont-leave-dont-censor-engage\/\">reported<\/a>, the former <em>Daily Show<\/em> host defended Joe Rogan last week, advising artists to resist pulling their work from Spotify in protest of him.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Follow David Ng on Twitter&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HeyItsDavidNg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">@HeyItsDavidNg<\/a>.
