The report was the first of its kind since Twitter found Jack Dorsey was replaced as CEO by Parag Agrawal, who has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2021\/11\/29\/twitter-ceo-parag-agrawal-our-role-is-not-to-be-bound-by-the-first-amendment\/\">said<\/a> that the company is not \u201cbound by the First Amendment. Agrawal continued: \u201cThe kinds of things that we do about this is, focus less on thinking about free speech, but thinking about how the times have changed.\u201d Unfortunately for the company, Agrawal\u2019s censor-happy approach seems to have been bad for business.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<div id=\"attachment_18933330\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Twitter-CEO-Parag-Agrawal.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18933330\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Twitter-CEO-Parag-Agrawal.jpg\" alt=\"Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>CNBC summarized the key figures from the report:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Earnings per share:<\/strong>&nbsp;33 cents, adjusted vs 35 cents expected, according to a Refinitiv survey of analysts<\/li>\n<li><strong>Revenue:<\/strong>&nbsp;$1.57 billion vs $1.58 billion expected, according to Refinitv<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monetizable Daily Active Users (mDAUs):<\/strong>&nbsp;217 million vs 218.6 million expected, according to StreetAccount<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Twitter set revenue guidance for the next quarter ranging from&nbsp;$1.17 billion to $1.27. Refinitv stated that analysis had projected revenue of around $1.26 billion. The company further announced a $4 billion share buyback program, half of which will be an accelerated share repurchase with the rest being purchased over time.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<div id=\"attachment_17833162\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Jack-Dorsey-looking-faded.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-17833162\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Jack-Dorsey-looking-faded.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jack Dorsey at Bitcoin conference ( Joe Raedle \/Getty)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Twitter CFO Ned Segal commented that the company\u2019s previously stated goals of reaching 315 million mDAUs in Q4 2023 and $7.5 billion in revenue in 2023 have not changed, despite the company\u2019s poor performance in the most recent quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Segal blamed the company\u2019s poor Q4 revenue on a slowdown in advertised spending in the last few weeks of Q4, but he expected to see an uptick in spending moving into Q1.
